We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Not a chance 8 injured 5 replaced ....Would any of the 5 get in if we play our strongest team

Not convinced at all with this Hungarian

Injured players not coming back then?

I'm unconvinced about the Hungarian too, after all he's never been picked for a first team game, so must be cack.

Poignant reminder in the BN from Evatt repeating the mantra that "we will not be held to ransom", that richer clubs are offering more money and that that players who don't want to come here for "footballing reasons" and to be part of the project to "get BWFC back where we belong" are "probably not the right players for us".

On the one hand, it's a good message that says we intend to run the club sustainably, that fans should manage their expectations when certain names are being bandied about and that players who actually are signed are committed to the cause rather than purely financially motivated.

However I can't help but wonder about the timing of this.

We've heard this message before and it's certainly not the message that selling clubs and money-grabbing agents want to hear. Maybe it's directed at Schon who has turned down clubs because of the money on offer? Maybe it's directed at Armstrong, Dembele and McAtee and their clubs whose negotiations have been protracted/stalled? Or maybe it's directed at us to suggest we need to expect less?

Whatever the reason for the timing of this message, I just hope that the scouting list is long enough to find better players than we have and who fit the financial criteria if we don't get our primary targets.

It won't be directed at Schon

Not convinced because i do not see where he fits in........As for the injured players Charles and Dempsey have already come back twice. Randell Twice since Christmas, Santos and Baxter will spend time on the side lines, Jones neither use or ornament as he is injured or away with Australia Gomes may see him next year.

No use dressing it up for whatever reason we carry too many injuries

Now we are getting told the club will not be held to ransom over money/fees etc

Kind of heard all this last season when we missed out on our main targets......no doubt will be the same in 12 months time

I will wait until 5pm..........Magic Friday once more

Who were the main targets we missed out on?

Randell was our main left wing/wingback target

Off the top of my head there was Kane Wilson who went to Derby and Baccus who stayed at St Mirren - both allegedly walked because we couldn't agree "personal terms".

Wilson was instrumental in getting them promoted and scored their winning goal against us in the "6 pointer" run in.

Baccus was St Mirren's midfield workhorse and they briefly flirted with the European places but slipped away - like us - towards the end of the season. He'll be playing against us in L1 this year.

Randall was not a LWB played as either a forward or a number 10 behind the strikers I believe.

Was he ?

well quoted that he was..........Unless you know better

He must have a direct line to Evatt and Sharon..

Was Paris not better than this Randall chap in the end?

As for that Baccus cock, he's ended up at bloody Mansfield.

No

Main problem for me is that none of those we’ve signed so far seem as good as what we already have and from the admittedly very little I’ve seen of him, the Hungarian included. I’m just not sure where they’ll play anyway and who they’ll replace. So far Southwood doesn’t look close to Baxter and Lolos looks average at best. Unless things change very quickly now I see us starting the season with much the same side as we finished it.

Timing doesn't matter if its what he believes. He's the gaffer.

Have you communicated these concerns to the club? You clearly know more than they do, so I'm sure they'd appreciate your input.

How on earth can you possibly make such a dramatic judgement on players when you've admittedly seen very little of them?

Especially when that very little equates to a bit of a run out in pre season and a collection of clips on a YouTube reel.

We won't know anything till a few games in. Then we will know if they've been an upgrade or not.

So have we actually signed Sean Sorebollocks yet or not ?

How much have you seen of our new signings? If it is only a little or nothing (as I suspect) then you are talking out of your arse again.

Just announced he’s signed 3 year contract LWB,

Just because a dog is born in a stable.............Does not make it a horse

He is no lwb
