Good point - it's a squad game. However, if the quality of the opposition has improved on last season as it theoretically might be, a lot of fans including me would like to see better players starting and some of last year's starters in the back up role.

Southwood doubt we could get a reserve keeper as good

Firino Think long term this lad can take over from Santos

Arfield   Come off the bench to get us a winner ....Knows his role here

Lolas  Will play in the cup games limited league  time

Schon........Not a scooby apart from what i have seen on you tube, but he is no lwb

Overall  ok so far but we need 2  players who will go straight in the first team.......We all have our views why if we think a player is not up to it do you get slaughtered here.

This IS the place to do it not when we kick the season off, hope Schon proves me wrong

Don't think a single poster has said they "know" - a few have said they "think" or "suspect" but that is completely different from what you are implying.

Those that haven't seen them play (I have in this case, but not recently) get their opinions from folk who have seen them play including their fans who watch them every week and the reports they read about them.

What is fucking weird is folk coming on here and trying to make out that if someone has an opinion on a forum that is specifically designed for folk to express their opinions, it's somehow weird - you're confusing a discussion forum with a fact-based news thread - which this isn't.

I'm already thinking about who's next in and hopefully it's being sorted as I write. Like the idea of a bit of pace and skill down both sides and there are alternatives if Killie don't take the hint. Someone reminded me that we were in for Femi Azeez last year - he did OK last season (scored 9), he's 23 and he's on a one year contract until next May. Maybe that's worth revisiting? Maybe not - I'm not sure what Evatt's planning.

In his interview for the club site, Schon mentions that he has come to Bolton to get his international career back on track - which is ironic as last year Baccus' Australian national coach said that his international career was under threat if he signed for Bolton. Even more ironic that Baccus has now become Mansfield's marquee signing.

Wondering if the Aussie coach is from Wigan?

That’s right, and coming at the same time as Santos injury too. Some players drafted in didn’t get the chance to show what they are capable of.
