they were non league so not privy to the same rules

So, would that work the other way around??

Could we bring in a non league striker??

Just had look at the free agents list and Diego costa is available. Ideal option up top next to Collins 😁

Well it worked for Derby last year and we do have places available so why not give it try, he’s certainly better than the other options we have.

I think we definitely need somebody up top with Collins as the rest are woeful. Etete may need a month to get fit. Meanwhile Vic is non league useless and skilless. McAtee the worst signing since time began. People saying he's played out of position is bollox. Even at schoolboy level the really good players including myself could adapt from a no 8 up top to a midfielder no4. Good footballers are flexible. Metete looked slow and dithering yesterday and Toal still hates to go forward. Other than that the defence looked ok and Gethin has recaptured a bit of form. Missed Morley last night. Glad we are out of the shitty competition and a win on Saturday it will all be forgotten.

I suspect it was probably quite a bit easier for them to convince Dwight Gayle to play in the third tier that it would be for us to convince Diego Costa

Imagine after our financial shitshows of the past letting Evatt spunk £2m+ away on McAtee & Randall.
Two overpriced piss-weak lightweights

Watched him after the game on Sat. Could just tell with the way he was high fiving with the body checks he thinks he's some kind of geezer :D

Kind of lad after Sunday footy does 8 pints in the local, chip butty, chasing the barmaid and ordering powder on tic by tea time.

Haha, 100%. I'd worked him out after the Mansfield home game when he'd done fuck all for 80 minutes, knocked the 3rd goal in, decided he'd done enough for the night, signalled to Evatt, trotted off, high fived a few then told Evatt 'I'm off now for a shower, see you in the bar (or words to that effect) and pissed off down the tunnel.

He'd done something similar v Blackpool, anonymous all first half, stepped it up for 20 mins when Tomo and Schon roused everybody then was blowing out of his arse and had to have a sit down. Off he went a few mins later.

A proper Sunday league Billy big balls 🤣

Turns up to Sunday footy with pink boots and a tight fit footy shirt, does some flicks and tricks and gets leveled by a fat plumber after spinning him for the 3rd time.

LOL,

Went to a boxing night a bit back, 1st bout on was some young uns maybe 13-14.

1st lad in mixed race lad, dreadlocks, tassels on the trunks & boots back flip into the rig over the ropes all his mates there and a lot of girls.

Other kid looks like he's never seen a boxing ring in his life and looks scared to death.

Bell goes , left-left, bang.

I went to the bar whilst they helped dreadlocks out of the ring.

I remember when we signed roger hunt he was terrible till the other players found out what kind of pass he wanted he was making runs but they never saw it .watched mcatee Saturday he was on the defenders shoulder pointing to we’re he wanted the pass it never came now I’m not for one minute saying mcatee is in the same class as roger hunt just thought I’d pass on my thoughts

Reasonable point.

I don't think it helped anyone with the over-zealous rotation of the strikers, and inevitable substitutions.

Hard for anyone to fully get used to others.

Anyway, it's a fresh start for them all now, and they're all playing for a future with the club (if they want one).

I still think he will come good. Victor on the other hand I’ve given up on. Just never gonna happen.

It is a fair point and he certainly is not the only one that currently we are not getting the best out of.

But as much as he points he also spends a lot of timing pointing from an off side position. Tbf to him him he always looked a good player when played against him, so there is reason to hope he improves whereas as Vic has never looked the part and last night he was even worse than normal.

When does his contract expire?

In trying to find out, I went down a rabbit hole, and came across the story of Jean-Pierre Adams.

We discuss injuries but have a gander at what happened to him.

Shocking story. :(

suspect same thing's going on with Forino 😁
