We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

I thought of him too, but the route to the first team is much better now. The problem with Faal was we couldn't position him anywhere in the squad and he was in limbo. He was essentially just training. Now, the B teams offers more opportunity for players to get minutes and get loan moves. The pathway is certainly there now that wasn't there before.

Anybody getting a little bit giddy yet ? I know we won’t know until August, but some of these signings look like the type of  players we need. Positive start for SS this window, long way to go & gelling everyone will be another challenge.

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen them play, but yes we're certainly looking to plug those holes in the squad (physicality, poor injury records and lack of height)

Another signing done. Big defender

Baxter, Santos now replaced. Has anyone replaced Jones yet?

In Schuey we trust. Exciting times now we have a proper structure and someone capable at the helm

i'm getting more excited for the outgoings

Like the sound of the new lads Dalby, Simon’s and now this lad in defence. I really hope that our days of being a soft touch are over.

Certainly the new Santos this lad.

On that video, he has a bit pace and can get those last ditch tackles and blocks in like his predecessor could.

Two signed from Scottish football (albeit out of contract there)- farmers and pubs! :)

I'm not sure Jones will be replaced, as Inwood looked capable last season, and we still have Johnston, Toal, and Forino.

Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me if one was moved on.

Toal and Johnston look most likely and should fetch a fee. I’d expect a new RB too and as well the new lad we have Inwood and Conway potentially for the left side roles but no cover yet for JDC on the right.

St éMirren fans on Twitter have nowt but good words about him

Forrester too!

We're not keeping all of them, if the squad is being reduced.

Think from our defenders can see toal moving to pastures new, been very injury prone since coming here.

We need a left back if we’re going four at the back and a couple of wingers .

i could  see any of last seasons squad going just depends what offers come in possibly at least 4 or 5 out the door to make for a smaller squad . We need to move at least one of Collins , mcatee , Randall on we don’t need 3 for same role

Yeah, not giddy yet but all good solid additions so far. We already look more physical.

Can see a lot of outgoings with these inbound, plus I'd imagine still to get wingers.

Exciting times. Now when's the new kit launched so I can get properly giddy?

Signing big lads who can put a foot in, yes please. As many said last season, how many players do we have that opposition fans can’t stand. Very little if any last year. Hopefully the new boys wind up other fans like McClean & the like do to us. There’s a cracking winger at Salford who looks rapid. I hope he’s on the watch list…..

Is Conway not a left back ?

New lad plays out wide.

Yes. I also wonder if the new centre half could play there if needed.

We need another as well as Conway, can't rely on him being available for every game. Same on the right side we have JDC but can't keep hoping his run of good health keeps him available.
