He’s a horrible wretch is stokes. Seen his off field behaviour first hand and he’s not the sort we would want at our club IMO

 

Plus he’s actually not that good although depends what and who you are comparing him to I guess. But I wouldn’t think he’s worth the risk

As the season draws in I think we will miss having that presence up top.   The majority of teams need a lump they can throw the ball up to somewhere in their ranks.

Yep. We're not going to have a Madine to play up there all the time. A half decent option off the bench or to start in certain games would be useful though.

Always looked a threat when I’ve seen him. Confidence player aswell I’ve heard in the past. Maybe Parky’s arm around the shoulder approach would work with him like it did with Madine.

 

All hypothetical of course. Still need someone else upfront if we can though.

We aint finding anyone prolific who is a free agent at this stage of the season.

Probably not, I don't suppose a free agent is any risk either...

 

Unless we sign a lump to fill Madine's role and he's completely ineffective - when we may have adapted well enough without a like-for-like replacement.

Despite not being a prolific goal scorer he could be a useful addition as a focal point of our attack. That said I suspect he isn’t too arsed about taking part in a relegation scrap on 3k per week

Stokes has a decent goalscoring record approx 1 in 3 although struggled in the championship 4 goals in 47 or similar (Madine pre purple patch)

What must he of done for Lennon to think he was a baddun????
