We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

If they offer him a three year deal they'll probably get him. I wouldn't be bothered if it happened.

I was more interested in the Charlie Hughes available at Wigan… he should be on our radar.

He'll attract offers from higher up

Possible, but will he be a starter at other championship clubs? I doubt it… more chance of starting in league 1, he is local lad fits our age and playing style profile, we have to at least show interest in my opinion. Peter Atherton could play a part in swinging the deal he’s a Wigan lad and was a top centre half, what better way to progress your career being coached by a top notch CH.

There's definitely nothing to be lost in asking the question

Scott Carson left back?  They'll still win the league though, unless Trafford is their no 2 instead of Walker.

Trafford going Burnley if not already Mentioned - or so someone in the know reckons

That was me and it's only a rumour ATM

If he does go there, I really hope it's as No 1 and he plays well. Love the guy. If he fucks up, I'd have him back in a heartbeat

Me too. He's really progressed with us.

Thought he was a left back

On a related note, I see Hughes is another one they picked up after being released from a local big club's Academy

Hopefully, we're now primed to start doing similar

Says right back on his profile but I’m sure he played central defence towards end of his playing days.

Ha ha , either way remember him being a pretty decent player. Not bad for a pie eater.

Nasty rumour Leicester want Santos for around £3m - probably bollocks though. That said Dapo showed everyone is up for sale if the money's right.

Or £5m if we take Evans of their hands.

I love Santos but I'm really not sure hes the level that Leicester will want to be.

I'd snap their hands off for £3m

Every player will have a price !

... & Premiership clubs, even relegated ones, now operate with numbers that are ludicrous. We can at least push for more.

Why wouldn't a Leicester fancy him ? Whether he could cut it or not would remain to be seen, but £3m is peanuts to them & if it doesn't work they move him on. We're, currently, in the Little League.

Should be wanting far more from a parachute payment club.

After accepting £500k for Dapo though I wouldn’t hold out any excitement on us rinsing clubs.

Leicester's wage bill isn't far off Arsenals. I doubt they'll be throwing cash around this summer.
