Not that bothered if they are in the air or on the deck

Getting in behind a defence and getting balls accross / into the box would be a welcome change from long balls and crosses from deep that bounce straight back at us anyway

In terms of creating scoring opportunities, it can't be worse than it has been recently surely?

How many crosses do you think ALF will win in the air.

Madine isn't there to attack crosses though. Put a decent finisher in there and he'll get on the end soon enough.

Not really defending Madine but when he does win the ball there's no one anywhere near him to finish. I'd play ALF off Madine.

Firstly I'm not so sure he wins that many balls anyway

Secondly, who gets dropped then? Do you not think losing a midfielder will cause us issues

Fwiw I think Madine like Cravies would score more if pace and width provided more early crosses that he could attack on the run, facing goal.

Last time Alf was here he scored goals playing with Heskey; or with Clough; or with Gudjohnsen.

The supporting cast included Feeney, Walker, Coke, Rochinha and Janko.

Goal scorers just find a way.

4-1 to us.

A brace each for Maxine and Le Fondue to put the icing on the cake after David Kelly gives them an early lead.

Tony Kelly is fuming on Tower FM but when our goals flood in on a wet afternoon, he soon turns to Gene Kelly and is indeed Singing in the Rain in front of 12,711 fellow attendees.

Clough couldn't read where to be playing off a big forward, ALF can. Thats the difference

That's been as much our problem as anything going forward this season. No tempo, pace or urgency to our attacks allowing their defence to get set before we get to the last third.

Need at LEAST 4 points from the next 2 homes and really 6, if we are to seriously think about top 2.

The away form is a concern, we've forgotten how to defend and we've lost the last 2 at home too.

We'll need some clean sheets with the volume of away's coming up, and i can't see it.

After Rochdale we have only 6 at home left, 10 away and that's a big swing.

Play-offs for me.

Thats not right - Keith Andrews NEVER played anything like football at Bolton

Hopefully that dwarf doesn't play again, tore us a new one at there place

Whatever their position?

Good to see he'll happily play anywhere though

At this rate he'll be playing RB

Time to re-activate Gudni.

In the chairman's suite for this with Pinky,

I hope we give these a good dicking but with us being on free ale all afternoon come 5:45 I probably won't give a fuck

Vela needs to play as an attacking midfielder.

At Walsall away we gave them the initiative in midfield. Spearing and Vela need to get stuck in and win the battle. Sit back and Walsall will play football.

They don't play with a left winger as such so right back not an issue. They did have joy against our left back (did we play with someone out of position there away from home who got s new one ripped?)

Anyway. Get on the front foot and don't wait to go 1 down.

Pretty sure moxey was left back and was shite. Edit I'm wrong it was Taylor.

Think beevers isn't far off a suspension if he gets a yellow in this game I think?
