March 3, 20179 yr Aye and our squad didn't get their contracts based on them or us aspiring to be average at league one level Some may have turned out to be shit like amos and moxey but more was expected of them when the deal was made, likewise clough and Vela probably deserved to be on more relatively speaking But fit and in form am pretty sure a midfield containing davies Pratley and spearing would have us doing better than we are
March 3, 20179 yr Which is why we didn't get relegated from the prem when we're 11/12th biggest payers in the League That goes back to the difference between a good and bad manager of you beleive they exist Plus two shit injuries
March 3, 20179 yr Which is why we didn't get relegated from the prem when we're 11/12th biggest payers in the League Its also why West ham and Newcastle never get relegated While generally wage bills do reflect league position, we are an odd case as we have historic wages and 3 of our top earners have played 5 games between em As for top 2, and despite all my waffle above, we are one win from being there I meant at the end of the season. I realise we are one win off. It was a response to the being happy with 6th guff
March 3, 20179 yr I don't mind PP to be honest, we're nowhere as easy to beat as our most recent managers, the football isn't easy on the eye most of the time, but we are in League 1! PP has made a few dodgy signings like Proctor, C Taylor & Buxton and Henry & Thorpe haven't really impressed either. Saying all that, we needed an experienced manager at the level we're at and PP has great experience at this level, it's far too premature to give Parky too much grief yet. I'll judge him after the majority of our overpaid ponces have fooked off in the summer and we can rebuild again.
March 3, 20179 yr I wouldn't underestimate how completely dog shit the standard of football is in this division. The gulf between this league and the championship is as big, if not bigger, than the prem-championship gulf. Its fookin huge.
March 3, 20179 yr Forgot about Buxton, is he still with us? Aye but he's had flu for the last four months
March 4, 20179 yr I wouldn't underestimate how completely dog shit the standard of football is in this division. The gulf between this league and the championship is as big, if not bigger, than the prem-championship gulf. Its fookin huge. Been saying all season it's a lot bigger, there's some absolute garbage in this league
March 4, 20179 yr Without wanting to sound like a West Ham fan: it is not the league position (clearly he has done well) however it is the way we have deteriorated the since xmas. the football is getting worse and worse to watch. the inability to get the players to do anything other than hit it 40 yards is concerning me. don't get me wrong we are not Barcelona nor do i expect us to be but these a professionals who i would hope could play a ball to a man 5 yards away. refer to my previous post my old China It will be right bi E Kinnell, I remember writing that...
March 4, 20179 yr Been saying all season it's a lot bigger, there's some absolute garbage in this league Our problem is we can manage a bit of both.
March 4, 20179 yr PP doing great job in difficult circumstances. If he had some proper financial backing he could be a very good un.
March 4, 20179 yr PP doing great job in difficult circumstances. If he had some proper financial backing he could be a very good un. Pretty much this. We are far better placed than I thought we would be preseason.
March 5, 20179 yr I'm amazed he's even being questioned. Do people honestly think he says to the lads "right go out and do what I've asked you to do for 20 mins then forget everything and play shit up to half time" This is football with 2 teams, the other other team will react to how we play and respond accordingly. To be fair he dealt with that response changed it in the 2nd half today and we responded positively in the 2nd half. Christ since Scunthorpe at home he's been dealt all kinds of shit; Clough going, Ameobi going, Financial shit rearing its head again, Wilson long term injury, Taylor injured, Madines "problems", Spearing suspended then injured and keeper inconsistency. There's probably more. Early on in the season he lost key players and overcame a poor 2nd month and brought us back to the top of the table. I'm convinced some people are taken over by the reality TV world we live in, a few poor performances and you're no longer flavour of the month. Have a bit of belief and faith and get behind him and support him. Despite a poor run we've still got a chance of going up.
March 5, 20179 yr Quite happy with a steady head in charge. Yeah it's not going to be thrilling but after what we've had this last couple of years I can accept dullness.

I've never seen a more consistent pair; unfortunately they are consistently shit! Bolton currently have two keepers who are desperately trying to out-shit each other.

Top post lose a match and folk want Parky throwing off a tower block half of them would then throw themselves off the worlds gone mad folk need to get a back bone these days.
March 5, 20179 yr Top post lose a match and folk want Parky throwing off a tower block half of them would then throw themselves off the worlds gone mad folk need to get a back bone these days. Well said.
March 5, 20179 yr Top post lose a match and folk want Parky throwing off a tower block half of them would then throw themselves off the worlds gone mad folk need to get a back bone these days.no but if we fail to make the play offs that should be goodbye to him. But somehow we are still in it so let's see
March 5, 20179 yr no but if we fail to make the play offs that should be goodbye to him. But somehow we are still in it so let's see Hardly a failure with all the problems he's had to put up with.
March 5, 20179 yr no but if we fail to make the play offs that should be goodbye to him. But somehow we are still in it so let's see I think the greater problem is those above him not putting anything in. Sell Holding and Clough to pay the bills don't put anything in. If Ken's still here next season and has no plans to put anything in i'll be more than a little bit surprised if Parky is sacked. Parky has made mistakes like signing several shite attacking players rather than one or two good ones but considering the transfer budget he's working with and the bad injury luck i don't think he deserves the sack.Im not one of those who thinks it's wonderful to be 4th either. Before the season started id have settled for nothing less than promotion with Cloughie and the uninjured highly paid Spearing, Davies and Pratley to complement Wheater and Beevers
March 5, 20179 yr Hardly a failure with all the problems he's had to put up with.bigger failure than last year imo if we occupy the top 6 all season then fail. Can't blame all these problems he has to take responsibility for some shocking performances whilst still having ameobi/clough.
March 5, 20179 yr Keepers are consistent though. I've never seen a more consistent pair; unfortunately they are consistently shit! Bolton currently have two keepers who are desperately trying to out-shit each other. Don't forget Amos...thats 3 poo keepers we have
March 5, 20179 yr Apart from the past couple of games - our new keepers have been one of the highlights of the season. I can't understand why people are saying they are both suddenly shit?

Wages and the sustaining of the club.
