Makes his miss against Wimbledon all the more frustrating

How long before teams realise how he good he is and double up on him when we play them?

Makes his miss against Wimbledon all the more frustrating

We've forgiven worse

I watched this guy play for hibs a few times and can categorically say somebody has unlocked something no one else has managed. Was always a skillfull player with decent delivery but looked a bit lethargic at times and went missing in games.

He now looks a different player altogether and given he was released by bratford you can only put the improvement down to the coaching staff at Bolton and the rest of the players as he's obviously found something that makes him tick here so plaudits to all involved as he looks a gem and could well be the X factor we need to get us over the line this season

He'll get injured in the next game such is our luck this season.

I like how he's always thinking and acts quickly, makes good runs.

Bradford must have some player to release him.

You really shouldn't have typed that haha

Could be the key to us getting automatic. Unreal crosser of the ball.

Lets hope he keeps swinging them in and ALF keeps putting them away

Sometimes everything clicks for a player. Right place, right time etc. Looking at a Bradford forum last night and most felt it was right to release him when they did with a couple saying he was incapable of trapping a ball by the time he left them

Are you 'glass half empty' type of bloke?

Great work rate too

Him and Taylor give us a nice balance IF those inside are energetic - Pratley back has been the key to unlocking it for me

I wonder if he would be all over free kicks and corners if spearing hadn't got injured

Scored off one of Phil's corners in a recent home game, didn't we when Spearing had taken the previous one?

Possibly

Rochdale?

Think so. Not sure he'd fancy shooting from a free kick, but his delivery from corners or wider free kicks is unreal. Plus I'd quite like Spearing to pick up any bits on the edge of the box.

He hit the bar against Wimbledon

I think spearing has definitely lost the job for now

Don't mind Spearing taking free kicks where a goal is a possibility direct, but Phil is definitely the man at corners and free kicks in wide areas.

Sounds good to me

Being 31 and on a deal to end of season focuses the mind!!!

Could do with tying him up for next season - bugger this enbargo - can sweaty ken not sort out a back hander

You could tell from his first game he was quality but now has match fitness as well, Makes it a bit baffling as to why Spearing continued to take corners as his delivery has never been the best for me.

Aye.

McGinlay . . .

My Bratfurt mate says similar to your first paragraph. Says he had a purple patch when he first went there.

Long may it continue.

He got a good reception when we went to Bradford so he must have done something right while he was there

Is Spearing due back anytime soon?
