Go to a back four for me, Derik or Dorian at right back. Morais is wasted at wing back and as happened in the last two games if we don't score he ends up further up the pitch and can leave the back three exposed to a break.

 

Need Morais near their box not wasting his energy charging up and down the line. He's our best bet to create a chance.

Morais put in plenty of balls v Bury and Oldham so that is not simply down to playing him in a wide 5

 

The problem was it was to a dwarf and he midfield were so deep they picked up no 2nd balls and/or gambled to get in the box or ahead of the ball

Yeah. But he has to risk position as the game goes on. I want him up the park not having to worry about defending. His energy is used up a lot just chasing up and down the line. At Oldham as we pressed both wing backs left the back three exposed a couple of times. Not sure three at the back actually adds anything. The advantage of the system normally is having two strikers and keeping a three man midfield. We aren't using its advantage and Long isn't in my view a starter. Neither are Wilkinson or Clayton.

I think we'll be heading for the Brewers Fayre pub in Hanley, not too far from the ground and reasonably cheap in a cab.

I am gonna try to have a few in Burslem but I ain't gonna be balloonin. That said it will be me and 6 other old school Farnworth whites so we may have to go in 1 at a time ???? ????

Like a few have said, these lot have got a few gobshites still living in the past and in the shadow of the N40 who they always try to emulate.

Only noticed it on the BEN but we've only lost there once in 114 years and that was down to a goal in the three millionth minute ofmadded time.

With that in mind I'm not sure we should be rolling the dice too much with two games to go still in the driving seat

 

I'd keep Pratley on, it's no coincidence for me that he returned at Fleetwood away when our fortunes turned. He's a big lad, gets himself about and knows where the goal is when required. Granted he's had a couple of stinkers but who hasn't. I think he will play as well, they spent long enough trying to patch him up the other night to tell me he is key for PP
