Best Graffiti You've Seen

Went out for some food yesterday and saw a mural type thing painted on the side of a building that made me piss.

Big pic of Benny Hill's face in close up, saluting and saying 'Bye bye Europe', with a little wink :)  Works on many levels for me.

Have to say the graffiti here in Bristol is a cut above the usual Denise is a slag daubed by the canal in emulsion.

Lot to live up to I suppose . . .

Not graffiti (vandalism, possibly) but going to Farnworth baths as a kid made me laugh as the L from pool was missing for an age.

Swanks a shop on Blackburn Road had a similar mishap.

Astley bridge near my grandmas. Think it's painted on now.

The Lennon Wall in Prague, is probably the most famous location for graffiti in the world.

Located on Velkopřevorské náměstí (the most unpronounceable phrase in the world although my wife pronounces it perfectly)

When Lennon died, someone painted an image of Lennon on the wall opposite the French Embassy.

The Russians painted over it but whithin a couple of days, the image was repainted. This went on repeatedly and became a symbol of the Czechs passive resistance to the Russian rule.

It's still there today and is constantly being covered in more graffiti.

Canal Street in Manchester used to regularly get letters removed from the sigh. Don't know if this still happens or not

There's a fence on the side of the M62 where someone has painted BUMBAG in huge letters. It's completely without meaning or context but it makes me laugh every time

When George Michael was going through his drunken phase he smashed his car into a wall and the local tv station got an unrivalled scoop by showing the crumbled bit of wall where the car hit. Where some wag had written "Wham!" in marker pen.

They should be awarded an MBE

Academy 1 got their toilets done up ages ago and every visit would go from seeing one bit of nonsense on the new cubicles to loads. Love it. Half of the time it's more fun than who's on stage

I remember seeing. 'I whant my baby back' on a wall in Manc, how thick do you have to be spell 'want' wrong?!

Whell thick

'Get Us Out Of These Shitholes'

In three foot high letters on a shithole house in a shithole area near Napier Green, Salford on the No. 25 route into Manchester circa 1989-1991.

Walked past it every day. Was always impressed with the correct use of an apostrophe.
