I will literally piss my sides when the great unwashed scouse cunts drive Sam out, the most delusional set of fuckwit fans ever.

  • aye   look at where he took us from and where he got us too and the situation we found ourselves in   you can bang on about the likes of Cid, McCann and Samuel, but look at the others he did great

Is it ok to now give Phil Gartside some credit for those signings? Without him Eddie D wouldn't of happened or any of the European ventures. Golden memories. Thanks P.G. RIP

Wasn't he a cunt who wouldn't sign a contract or something?

Wanted the opportunity of first team football.

That wasn't available when he left.

But he's City's now to loan out as they see fit.

Would he be a prodigal son returning, or maybe too disappointed with his time here?

To be fair to Casino I think he was asking how many prem appearances they made for us after Sam left.  If I'm mistaken tell me to piss off.

Anyroad, there's no way those figures are appearances for Bolton after old bog head did one. Total appearances maybe, but certainly not for us.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Casino was asking how many appearances in the Premier League for anyone.

And I'm even more sure that if he meant for BWFC he would have rubbished my answer, which quite obviously is not just BWFC but PL for anyone.

The fact that Jussi played over 200 games and we only played 5 seasons is a pretty good clue.

Aye - I reread his earlier post.

Should have kept hold of Mooy and I recall ranting about it on The Wanderer that we should have given him first team opportunities.we really missed a trick there and after his performance yesterday he's gonna be a superstar in the Prem next season.

 Who for?

Huddersfield or City

More chance of me playing for City this season.

Some errors in that article.

Nakata wasn't particularly shite from what I remember.

We didn't play Sevilla, think it was Braga.

Nor did we beat Preston at Wembley.

I doubt any of those "mistakes" were particularly expensive either in the grand scheme of things

Huh, so we did. I can't even recall that game

"Laville was a costly mistake".

You could agree with that. 10 games on loan.

Sign him and he only plays 5 games in 2 years.

That's not cost effective.

you could also argue he was a big reason why we stayed up in 2002

I would definitely say his signing made a big contribution to this along with Youri

well worth every penny

Agreed, hardly a mistake, any signing runs the risk of injury.

...In a period of two years between 2001 and 2003, Bolton signed players from Real Madrid, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg, Kaiserslautern, Galatasaray, Valencia, Paris St Germain, Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Milan, Sporting Cub and Olympiakos."

Incredible stuff.

For all the errors that may have been made, I agree mounts. Great times. Kids wearing Bolton tops in town instead of those of the big boys.

Big Sam was on Talk Sport this morning, he knows his stuff that man and great to listen too

great times and wouldn't swap for anything and yes they do deserve credit

Downside maybe are we now feeling the aftermath of their leadership but that's another story

Remember watching other teams on tv in Europe thinking I'd love a piece of that

Was speaking to someone heavily involved in the building of the Reebok a few weeks ago.

They didn't give much away apart from saying the leadership and decisions that had been made at the top were really poor, including the football league.

So yes, we had great times - but they certainly won't be back in the short to medium term.
