Got 2 simmering gently in a pan.

English Mustard at the ready .

Boiled and English mustard

With mushroom and spring onion in a mustard and cream sauce

Ready sliced - fried.

Still entire - Boiled.

On a barm with mustard

Makes a full English.

 

I reckon its an adult's food; hated it as a kid.

Got to say this and no doubt to get some flak but i much prefer Stornoway black pud to Bury.

Proper horseshoe shaped ones boiled, sliced log ones fried. Oh and wasabi is great on them.

Spanish ones good bars around Malaga fry em till on crispy side.

If you get a good one it has the consistency of a solid pate with a peppery/pork taste. You get it in a horseshoe ring like black pudding, slice it and dry fry it, then spread it on toast with a fried egg on top. Heaven!!! Don't go for the Clonakilty shite, it's got big lumps of barley in it and barely any pepper so is really bland
