Never been away, I was ill in early January with all the C 19 symptoms and felt crap for 10 days, anyway one good thing I managed to stop smoking, so some good has come out of it. Trains on the WCML are running, but carrying fresh air. Quote

But we need a whole lot more to follow. Surprised the other supermarkets haven’t made similar announcements although most are streamlining rather than expanding like aldi and lidl. But I expect more to say we will buy more British. as an aside I was reading Sainsburys annual report the other day online up by over 100% year on year mental and all due to Kung flu Edited January 24, 2021 by Escobarp Quote

But I would be surprised if a large PE house were interested in this with the levels of cash required. 25m is buttons in that industry Quote

Escobarp Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Some people might put this change down to Brexit, but it is actually just greed. It is well within the power of the card schemes to make merchants’ lives easy and keep things operating as they were pre-2021,” Quote

So it is down to Brexit. No it’s really really not. But nice try because something or somebody prevents you from doing something it doesn’t mean that when they no longer have the power to stop it and you choose to do it that you can blame them. That’s very flawed logic. But no surprising. Edited January 25, 2021 by Escobarp Quote

Escobarp Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 It’s a commercial decision by a large corporation. It hasn’t been forced on them by anybody. They have chosen to do it. Simple as that. Quote
