I wonder if Kier has had lessons on eating a bacon butty.

Well that goes down as 'never eat in public' along with tale of Mandelson excitedly exclaiming 'guacamole!' In his Hartlepool constituency upon being presented with some mushy peas.

Even Blair and Brown looked a bit odd getting ice creams on the campaign trail. It's just fraught with problems.

Like the bacon butty thing, I think it wasn't so much, 'he looks a dick whilst eating' but more of 'look at that metropolitan elite having one of those crusty sourdough £7 rolls - is a white warbies butty too good for him - serves him right hahhaha'

You can look really out of touch which is why these next six weeks are going to be brilliant.

Some really pull it out of the bag - Major's soapbox standing in 92 really worked but also because he actually was from a working class background and was a good speaker, Blair was a genius - the headers against Keegan look odd now but at the time it looked like finally a young MP who was doing something you couldn't imagine Mayor doing which made him look like a fuddy duddy in 97.

Campaigns turn on these moments because most people couldn't give a shit about politics or policies - they just want to feel they can trust the person in charge for the times they are living through.

Latest count is 76 Tory MPs stepping down.

It goes to show that Sunak has fucked them all off. A lot were going to step down but they have had to now the election has been called. Again whines running the strategy. Madness for him to call it for July.

It's not just in their MPs where the talent pool is shallow. It's amateur hour

More than likely straight out of public school and Oxbridge.

Gets handed the ‘socials’ job because they’re a young un.

Only problem is the closest they’ve come to interacting with a ‘real’ person is the farrier at pony club or the barman at Henley.

Fucking laughable.

Oh and this is just beautiful.  The Tories need more like Davidson and less like Reece-Mogg.

Ruths a good un

Not perfect but I dont need perfect

Some vague sense of competence, decency and not being a cruel cunt would do

Went to see my nana today, she's 102 tomorrow.

She's looking forward to voting Labour on July 4th, because "I'm not having another five years of these lying fraudsters"

My mother in law is 86 and a traditional Tory voter. She’s voting Lib Dem. Hopefully Covid doesn’t get either your Nan or my mother in law before the election. It isn’t selective.

I just don't get it. This stuff is basic - public school aside - who is managing this.

I am still amazed how quickly folk forget the whole COVID shambles. Sure most of the main protagonists are now gone but fucking hell.

Maybe if Labour do get in power we will see Esco, GD, etc make a comeback?

My parents - the whole problem is immigrants from housing to healthcare.

Covid is rife again in London- loads of swings in main shows, I'm staying well clear.

I've just had a thought, maybe they have all gone woke and can't bring themselves to defend the shitshow anymore?

Or they have other accounts to read here then have a private WhatsApp group to wank over themselves. That would at least mirror with this Tory Government.

She's just a normal person, the Tories could do so much more by getting those people in

Also Gove has stood down.

Ahahahahahhaha!

Spineless fuckers. Almost like they can’t cope without the perks of being in power.

Exactly - if public service is just being in government then you shouldn't be there.

Again..hahaha

It's too beautiful to see them collapse even before the campaign has started.

😆😆😁😁😆😆
