I'll be amazed if Labour win, even by a tiny majority. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Boris Johnson became leader again in a couple of weeks, and the election resulted in a Lib Dem/Tory coalition. This country is fucked, and we deserve it.

It won't. Just watch the ramping up of propaganda in the next few weeks. We are a country chock full of thick people who will fall for it.

Labour need to he bang up for this.

No complacency.

Tories will pack the midfield and hit on the break.

Why? I don't mind the LFOI - they aim to work towards a two state solution. Not sure why people think I'm a massively far Left.

find that surprising, but I bow to your greater knowledge. Had them down as a pro-Israel lobby group.

I don't assume you're far left, my impression (possibly wrong) is that you have a far more balanced view of Israel than she does.

No possibility of that

Pro-Israel needn't have to mean anti-two-state solution

In fact, the majority of the time it doesn't

Said it before, but a Tory party with fuck all seats isn’t healthy.

They need a twatting but enough in the bank to come back strong and hopefully with a less pitiful and abhorrent set of bastards than they have now.

I can’t say Labour hold much appeal but it’s vital the Tories have a proper clearout.

Get the fuckers out.

Not sure if it’s too late, but if they ousted Sunak before next week is there a chance they could move the election and install that rancid Bumblecunt as leader again? Wouldn’t put anything past them.

Yep.

the senior Tories are all fucking rotten and have been for a long time.

we all know that there’ll be a few twats in every party, demented to think otherwise (not that it makes it right), but this lot have had way too many and they’ve all sucked, squirmed and cunted their way to the top.

Bland, hard-working types with a conscience shouldn’t be too much to ask.

When these clowns who keep asking “for our country back” pop up on socials, they never seem to mention a parliament full of grafters. But for me, that’s where “getting our country back” should start.

I know.

They’ve been fucking awful.

But I still prefer them (just) when they’ve not allowed a cabal of narcissistic thrusters to run the gaff

It's going to be closer than people think certainly, there isn't much love for Starmer in the country still but the level of anger at the everything from austerity to Covid parties to Liz Truss will most likely do for the tories but I'm not sure we're in 97 territory.

People overall are angry with every political class, if Labour do get in, it's going to be a very tough first 100 days - they will be buffeted from all sides with a generally unsympathetic print media and with a leader lots haven't warmed to.

You are right about some folks - on LBC yesterday you had a fella call in saying he wouldn't vote for Labour as they'll bring back Corybn as leader soon as they are elected, and another who was blaming Labour for the issues we've had over the 14 years which the Conservatives have been sorting out.

Their issue is how. They are still in hock to their right wing, they've got people leaving prior to the election with others set to lose seats.

The front runners for leader as Braverman, Badenoch and Mordaunt currently; two are really quite far right and not well liked beyond the membership and one is really quite lightweight - not sure she'd be able to steer their ship.

They have issues about what party they want to be but the talent depth is so shallow currently.
