Thanks Kent for the link to ' fullfact.org', I already knew how much we pay in and how much we get back, as I understand it we give away approximately £160mill net a week, yes £160mill a week for what?

With all public services in the UK on their arses due to lack of money how can the UK government not use £160mill a week to improve every body's situation

If you are against Brexit please explain the biggest reason you wish to remain in the EU

The payment to the EU is not the be all and end all of our membership. Think of all the free trade with the EU and all the wealth that free trade creates. Think of all those jobs that are as a direct consequence of that free trade. Think of all that tax that is generated because of all those jobs and that trade as a direct result of our membership. Think of our diverse society that welcomes people from across the world that contribute to our society and pay tax (and they don't take our jobs). I could go on with lots of examples.

All that certainty will be gone when we leave and i promise you we will have to work so hard to replace that tarrif free trade. One thing is for sure is the fantasists saying that we are about to enter the promised land are way off the mark.

Wouldn't argue with much of that Kent; went wrong for me once it became more than trading agreement.

Am I happy? Yes

Do I earn enough money to provide for my family? Yes

Am I happy with my children's school and nursery welfare? Yes

Am I happy with the NHS services I have dealt with first hand? Yes

Will leaving the EU jeopardise my happiness by possibly sending us into a recession? Yes

Am I happy to carry on as we are? Yes

They are the questions I asked myself before voting.

To keep all those crooks and little Englanders who reside in 'Only Fools and Horses and picture menu' Spain where they are...

Can you imagine all those twats pitching up back 'home' when the Spaniards make them sling their hooks? Ghastly.

Pretty much where I Am at

Happy enough with my lot

The other question was to my kids

What do you want the UK to do?

It's so obvious, are you really asking us that?

Convinced me, anyroad

Amazon have just opened a site near Blackrod that will employ 1,200 people who live in the UK

Can anyone explain to me if this is because of, or despite, Brexit please?

I think that TM was right the other day when she said that as a nation - we never felt 'fully in' - probably because of geography more than anything else. I think most people know a lot more about the EU and how it works now than they did pre or during the referendum - and in a way I think Parliament and the media gave us very little insight into its inner working when we were 'in the club' - which is a shame as we were a major player in where the direction the continent took. Now we're just an onlooker. I can't see how that doesn't diminish our standing in the world - but I'm sure others see it differently.

I don't hate anybody for having a different view about this by the way - politics is a subjective thing.

Maybe the lads from BAE Systems can relocate and put their skills to good use order picking?

They opened 10 before the vote

Jsl:)

I don't think Amazon give a fuck which town or country they build distribution centres in.

They plan to take over the entire world.

If it all goes well I will love to be able to come on here on bended knee and eat humble pie and admit I was wrong...

I expect, should it go tits up, the ardent leavers (everywhere) will either slink off or have some ready made bullshit excuses blaming others for why it panned out shite.

In terms of world standing, I don't see much change- certainly in the short term. Much of what we do well- sorting stuff out for folk-ambassadorial things, high level research, services etc.

Saw a brief interview easier where a woman said Britain is no longer the power it was in colonial days, so will need to forge a new, modern niche for itself.

Makes sense, but an opportunity. Just hope we take it.

Thats nothing more then BAE overestimating demand the thick cunts

Amazon could start delivering using typhoons?

Tell me, how come you love Corbyn, who has been opposed to our membership of the EU forever?

I think that TM was right the other day when she said that as a nation - we never felt 'fully in' - probably because of geography more than anything else.

Not adopting the euro was another obvious sign we were never really up for it

What makes you think I love Corbyn? I don't particularly - I do think a socialist party should have a socialist leader though.

Kent & Salford, I agree with all your reasons and concerns but,

Peace in Europe is indeed what our relatives fought and died for and must be maintained at all costs and the UK, unlike other EU countries, has always tried to contribute 2% of GDP to the defence of Europe, and that should not change

The 'Free' trade with Europe is not Free its costing us £160mill a week, we also have a balance of trade deficit with Europe so it is in their interest to continue with tariff free trade just the same as us

When we leave we can still continue with trade, defence and any other collaboration we do now unless the EU want be seen to punish us for leaving the club, to deter any other country from trying to leave

It is surely better for our, elected, government, to take back control of our own finances, borders and laws

Today as the latest negotiations broke up, David Davies said one thing and Barnier said something different, the Conservative Cabinet find it hard to agree a common statement so what chance have the other 27 countries cabinets who then have to convey what they want to Barnier to negotiate with us

The whole EU machine is too slow and unwieldy we will be far better, on our own, reacting and adapting to World conditions, if we fail we can only blame ourselves then, I prefer to take this journey and not become 'lions led by donkeys'

Peace?

The EU's push towards Russia was a significant contributor to the war in Crimea.

With regards to us 'taking back control of our finances, boarders and laws'

In terms of finances our net contribution to the EU is less than 2% of our total public spending, with that in mind its a huge stretch to make out like we have lost control of our own spending. It's like me saying that Ruport Murdoch controls my personal finances because I pay SKY £40 a month!

Borders - we have control over them, we are not in the shengen area so you need a passport to enter the UK

Laws - We have a right to veto anything that we don't agree with, so it's safe to say that no laws have been forced on us that we really didn't want to be

We don't have control of our borders all EU passport holders can just turn up and chose to live here, nothing we can do about that while in the EU.

We can't veto most laws on our own as any new law only needs to be majority vote and not unanimous. 80% of laws we have no veto.

And as for the 2% we give them I'm happy for our government to spend it as hey see fit, the NHS would be the beneficiary for me.

Is it not on the A6 at Over Hulton? Between LH and Atherton.

It's because no one buys anything from actual real shops anymore, it's easier and cheaper to do it from your settee. Amazon then dodgy their taxes, it's a double whammy for the economy. 1200 jobs, 1150 pickers, sticking stuff into carboard packets on minimum wage. Winning.

My mate who works for them told me they are due to trial a system where you buy a chip for the boot of your car so the delivery driver can open it and leave your parcel inside.

They'll deliver wherever your car is.

Drone delivery is already on the verge of being rolled out fully across cities too.

Madness

They have a drop off point at Morrisons, but that means getting off your arse...
