By a mile, and that includes Truss. I reckon @bolty58would have him back tomorrow though

Been contemplating this further whilst educating a couple of the grandsons with an orrery.

Dangling on a zip wire in Victoria Park? Smashing polystyrene bricks down with a JCB? Carrying out effective rugby tackling?

Yep, I'd have him back tomorrow. Tremendous entertainment.

Love an English eccentric I do. Probably why I entertain the likes of you.

Why was it a car crash? It was a perfectly normal press conference with a fidgety bloke behind her. Quite amusing but there was nothing she said that was 'car crash' at all.

You can watch it here, all perfectly reasonable statements of fact about the previous lack of investment in transport infrastructure and what the proposals are for new investment.

You really need to get some new material if you carrying on this tedious looking for grains of embrassment in your bete noire.

Saw it live thanks. You’re probably aware by now that what she announced was this.

She put it on hold, ripped the blue badge off it, stuck a red one on and then presented it as a Labour initiative. They even fooled me yesterday morning. Only briefly though.

As for car crash. Just another opinion.

You wouldn't expect a Labour apparatchik to do anything other than defend her would you?

The climb down on the winter fuel payments has been epic. The U turn of all U turns. Hopefully the electorate will see right through this and remember what the intention was. Only the emergence of Reform has prompted this scramble to try to hold 'red wall' votes. Otherwise it would be "Fuck you, oldies, Go fuckin' freeze". Could be Casino's battle cry that could.

You seem to be wanting him to be hoping so.

There was nothing in his post that fits your assertion.

As it is; observation and experience of recent years, suggests the French can't be relied upon to do what they're being paid to do.

Indeed they've been doing the opposite, in escorting dinghies away from their shores.

If that changes, great, but don't hold your breath.

Do you not applaud the fact they've done a u-turn, surely a good thing isn't it?

Better to admit they've done something wrong, and then fix it, rather than just blindly carry on with the policy

U turns were definitely not viewed that way on here when it was the tories doing them.

A "U-turn" would be reinstating the previous system which gave it to every pensioner regardless of wealth - which they're not doing. They're just tweaking the eligibility so more pensioners get it.

I think it was mostly the lies, corruption, waste and ineptitude that topped our list.

Nowt wrong with a U-Turn.

However, it's concerning when you're making these stupid decisions in the first place.

No problem with U-turns. It’s healthy to listen.

The Tory issues were all down to them being a corrupt, useless shower of shit

What's 'stupid' is giving millions of pensioners £300 every winter when they don't need it. They just narrowed the eligibility criteria too much, so they're widening it a bit.

So to be clear, u turns are good now. Got it…..I think

Or altering policies to suit.

Hardly a U-turn is it.

Or don’t introduce ridiculous policies in the first place?

It's really not that complicated.

What is bad is to make a bad decision and stick with it.

What should be commended is to make a bad decision and then to see that it was bad and to do something about it.

The 'bad decision' was introducing a universal WFA in the first place. It should always have been means tested. The fact it exists at all is a disgrace when you look at the profits Energy providers make.

Of course you would, given what happens here has absolutely no impact on your life.

Really? Have a look at what’s been one of labours  major fuck ups so far, have a look at how many MPs have spoken out against it. Have a look how many are leaving. Quite a reaction for something that’s not ridiculous.

They’ve given out more free school meals today.

Lets see that one spin into a negative.

Let the bodies pile up.

Was it Starmer or Johnson who said that?

Erm....yes the last post proves what I was saying, nothing to do with the policies just some factory workers looking a bit bored. Nothing to do with a car crash speech.

That's not only a stretch to say it's a rebadged *lynn* Tory policy, it's also wrong despite the barracking from the opposition. Lazy politicking. The facts are, they didn't enact anything similar and there was 14 years of underinvestment in rail infrastructure.

As I say, it's either time to get some new material, or keep hush until you've got a proper point to make rather posting slightly sulky and partisan messages just because you don't like Rachel Reeves very much.

Amusing though it is after 14 years of utter shit.
