No they haven’t. The poor kids have to wait till September 2026. If they are in poverty now, why wait?

Now that literally is jam (on toast) tomorrow!

Parents should be paying for themselves, instead of spending the money on iPhones, SKY, flat screen TV's, Lambert & Butler, etc

Erm....yes the last post proves what I was saying, nothing to do with the policies just some factory workers looking a bit bored. Nothing to do with a car crash speech.

That's not only a stretch to say it's a rebadged *lynn* Tory policy, it's also wrong despite the barracking from the opposition. Lazy politicking. The facts are, they didn't enact anything similar and there was 14 years of underinvestment in rail infrastructure.

As I say, it's either time to get some new material, or keep hush until you've got a proper point to make rather posting slightly sulky and partisan messages just because you don't like Rachel Reeves very much.

Amusing though it is after 14 years of utter shit.

It has been rebadged. They’ve given it a different name but the figures are exactly the same. IMG_3382.thumb.jpeg.f45cf4fe5291fe7e8251cda9cb4d2ce2.jpeg

Do you not applaud the fact they've done a u-turn, surely a good thing isn't it?

Better to admit they've done something wrong, and then fix it, rather than just blindly carry on with the policy

No I don't. It was the ultimate betrayal - the perfect highlighting of 'socialist' hypocrisy in immediately going for the throat of what some might perceive as the weak and infirm. Plenty of their own MP's and members felt this way and voiced it.

They have only backtracked because of the council election results. We all know it so let's not pretend that this monumental U turn has any roots in altruism.

A cold and cynical attempt to win back the votes they perceive as being lost because of this ill judged policy. One that I hope the electorate will see right through and punish them for.

Hardly a U-turn is it.

You are brighter than this. Either that or you are sleepwalking.

The EU doesn’t have a problem with individual countries banning it. 7 at the last count I think. Can’t see what the fuss is about.  We should be going forward not backwards.

It is good to see Reform suggesting we align to EU standards.

Is there a problem with Burkas in the UK? Apart from people not liking them I mean?

I'm sure those asking for the ban will all start becoming friends with Muslim women once we get rid of the burka! 😁

I saw a programme from Iran when I was in Germany (on holiday) and it showed the resistance by many women to the wearing of it. Many chose to just put a scarf on their head to show respect to the religion but also showing their independence as a woman. Maybe ask the Muslim women.
When the men aren’t around.

Almost all phone thefts, muggings, and ram raids are carried out by women wearing Burkas. How do you not know this?
