You’re probably aware by now that what she announced was this. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/city-region-sustainable-transport-settlements-2/network-north-crsts2-indicative-allocations-4-october-2023 She put it on hold, ripped the blue badge off it, stuck a red one on and then presented it as a Labour initiative. They even fooled me yesterday morning. Only briefly though. As for car crash. Just another opinion. https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/rachel-reeves-made-a-big-speech-but-the-bored-workers-behind-her-stole-the-show_uk_68400bc9e4b0cc376200e386 Erm....yes the last post proves what I was saying, nothing to do with the policies just some factory workers looking a bit bored. Nothing to do with a car crash speech. That's not only a stretch to say it's a rebadged *lynn* Tory policy, it's also wrong despite the barracking from the opposition. Lazy politicking. The facts are, they didn't enact anything similar and there was 14 years of underinvestment in rail infrastructure. As I say, it's either time to get some new material, or keep hush until you've got a proper point to make rather posting slightly sulky and partisan messages just because you don't like Rachel Reeves very much. Amusing though it is after 14 years of utter shit. Quote

Better to admit they've done something wrong, and then fix it, rather than just blindly carry on with the policy No I don't. It was the ultimate betrayal - the perfect highlighting of 'socialist' hypocrisy in immediately going for the throat of what some might perceive as the weak and infirm. Plenty of their own MP's and members felt this way and voiced it. They have only backtracked because of the council election results. We all know it so let's not pretend that this monumental U turn has any roots in altruism. A cold and cynical attempt to win back the votes they perceive as being lost because of this ill judged policy. One that I hope the electorate will see right through and punish them for. Quote

BobyBrno Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 The EU doesn’t have a problem with individual countries banning it. 7 at the last count I think. Can’t see what the fuss is about. We should be going forward not backwards. Quote

Many chose to just put a scarf on their head to show respect to the religion but also showing their independence as a woman. Maybe ask the Muslim women. When the men aren’t around. Quote
