The EU has just signed a trade deal with South America that has took 20 years to negotiate and is one of the greatest trade deals of all time. We've walked away from that. People actually believing we can just make our own deals like that because we are " Great" Britain, are either deluded or arrogantly ignorant. They are willing to destroy our economy because they were herded like sheep by a right wing elite that are only concerned about lining their own pockets. We will be ruined as a nation. Unless people haven't noticed, we are no longer a nation of manufacturers, we are now consumers, and we consume mainly from Europe. The majority you see on the market is imported, all our Mills are closed and many levelled. We now longer mine, we've destroyed our Steel industry through privitisation. We've sold off our infrastructure like the railways to foreign governments such as Holland and Germany ( yep, look it up. Their states have shares in our railways, their people make money out of us while we own nothing) there is nothing left to sell apart from our NHS and that's teetering on the brink whilst American vultures are circling.
The Empire doesn't exist anymore, we are no longer the biggest power on the planet, we own nothing, we make next to nothing, we've nothing to trade on the WTO. Making a deal means you need to offer something, the only thing we'll be able to offer is turning ourselves into a tax haven in the city for tax evaders. We already rely on the city of London to prop us up since we sold everything. Even trading the EURO will cease because of trade tariffs. We've shot ourselves in the foot and the saddest part of it all is this, working class people have allowed themselves to be led off a cliff, all you have to do is wave the Union Jack and talk of patriotism and they'll follow like children followed the pied piper.

A nation of consumers eh.

Well you can't keep consuming if you've got neither money nor anything to trade with.

We do need to increase manufacturing capability, but if things have become so bad as suggested in that, then it confirms we are doing the right thing in leaving and should have done sooner.

Maybe so, but it takes decades to reverse. That is the problem. Those who say we can be great again are ignoring the fact we are in no position to do so any time soon.

So we’ve done really badly since we joined the EU then, thought we’d done well since we joined.  Time for a change. And WTF is fran duggan.

That the same Arthur who warned us about pit closures, and trade union rights, and the downfall of the working class and eventually being put on zero hours contracts, correct me if i am wrong. It was those voters who wanted to leave.:D

If only we'd listened to those working class heroes Cameron and Osborne

With both being born in a workhouse in Eccles within hours of each over and making a trusting friendship over the years to make right the wrongs.:D

Can't be arsed trawling through what I have missed over the last four weeks. Watched something is Spain where the EU had admitted that there is indeed a technological solution to the Irish border problem and are in fact a long way down the road towards implementation in anticipation of a no deal 'Brexit'. Also saw the shenanigans relating to Bojo. The more the "anti's" in the media try to beat up shit about domestics, socks and other meaningless drivel, the more Conservative Party members will vote for him (including we Conservatives Abroad). The one man sensible enough to push the ridiculously obvious concept that taking 'no deal' off the table hands "all of the cards" to the other side in any negotiation.

Yes, the same Arthur who allowed and helped Law firms pillage the Miners Pension funds and still lives in a luxury penthouse in London paid for the very same funds, what a hero.

Perhaps you should start a fund for a statue of the great man, perhaps in Orgreave

Not to mention Jaguar and Land Rover’s main man reversing his Brexit thoughts and saying it now could be a good move for Britain.

Amazing how the BBC and Co have kept quiet on all this isn’t it ?

I bet they’d have also been quick to criticise Morrissey etc if he’d got on stage at Glastonbury and said fuck Corbyn.

Go on remainers, admit you were hoodwinked and totally wrong, nothing to be ashamed of.
