Sure, but I was responding to the point about the NHS.

 

The figures are as up to date as there is and, since then, we have an agreement on the rights of EU nationals, so I expect many will stay.

 

I also wonder as to how critical they are, with 5% or so of the NHS workforce in the North West. London is more alarming, for those who could ever be alarmed about anything London.

 

For me, the interesting stats are;

 

1. Nationals of other EU countries make up almost 10% of doctors in England's hospital and community health services. They also make up just over 7% of all nurses and 5% of scientific, therapeutic and technical staff. The percentage of doctors and nurses with EU nationality grew between 2009 and 2016, but has changed little since the EU referendum.

     2. The percentage of EU staff before the referendum was 5.6% and 5.5% after

Both a self funded retiree and a migrant worker have positive impacts on the Economy of the places they choose to move to

 

However a self funded retiree doesn’t work or pay local income taxes yet they use the local public services

It’s not about good or bad it’s about controlling which immigrants we need and how many we need, lower paid workers for menial jobs most likely paying little or no tax while rich UK citizens abroad spend plenty in the economy which gives a very positive benefit and will not be claiming out of work allowance or housing benefits like some unemployed unskilled immigrants do here in the UK.
