Boro spent a fortune in the summer, including a £15m striker, while we've got a midfield including the likes of Pratley & Deryk who can't cover the defence, can't win or retain posession in midfield, can't create chances & would struggle in div 1.

 

It's not defeatist but accepting reality to guess that we're unlikely to win this one, but when we can pick our best team against the weaker sides, we can still pick up the points to reach the giddy heights of 4th from bottom. This Saturday, i'm hoping for the best but ready for the worst !!

I am a massive Parky fan and think we face a challenge to survive this year and to do so we have fight and win every scrap we can to do that we can not be shipping two goals in first half of games. So change system to make us more solid.

correct. I would be amazed if we are not playing 5-4-1 tomorrow. I think PP only kept 532 at Hull because of the good win Vs Sheff W in the game before.

I'm also a massive Parky fan & think he did a remarkable job getting us promoted, & that keeping us up would match that achievement.

 

Last season he deserved huge credit for the number of times he changed the match tactics/system after...losing Mavies & Pratley, losing Clough & Ameobi, losing Madine regularly, losing both full backs, rejigging the defence etc etc.

 

At Hull he changed it by bringing in Buckley ( which failed miserably ) & i trust PP to keep shuffling the pack to try & find something that works, but the sad reality is that on paper we have the weakest squad in the league & it may be that thanks to our financial problems, our players are simply not good enough to survive no matter what the manager does.

Likewise. Not sure how much optimism I've got, but my lad left his phone outside all night in the pissing rain so he's going for punishment.

I'd settle for a 0-0 draw. Hoping Derik will play holding midfielder and return of Wheater will shore us up and think we need a back 4 not back 3. However not confident at all most likely 1-3.
