Bwfc Vs Bristol City

So, what's the starting XI after today's win?

Any of the subs do enough to make a start next Saturday?

Ameobi injured?

Thought the Polish lad was caught upfield a few times second half and that led to second goal.

Thought we were dire first half

Second half we seems to pick up when that pen wasn’t given to them

I thought all 4 goals were soft TBH

I don’t have an issue with Alfie coming on for Noone, who was blowing by then, but what I do have is that he appeared to only tell O’Neil to fill in on the right with explicit instructions after they equalised - for me Parky needs to take responsibility for that.

Very impressed by the Pole; I’d like to see more of Lowe and Murphy but together they seem a bit immobile and lacking any creativity at all.

I also worry about our centre halves - especially Beevers.

Magennis seems made for us

The ref and lino were shit but a point is all we deserved anyway

Home atmosphere was absolutely dire as well.

First home game after that Forest escape and a win at West Brom and it was like a morgue. Shame really

Disappointing to draw from a 2 goal lead, but thought they were the better team overall with 2 well taken goals.

Maggenis and the polish lad played well, impressed by both. Well be right this year and certainly won’t get bullied like the start of last season.

Ref was toss for both teams.

Pleased with a point, would have taken a point before the game tbh. Thought Bristol were a tidy team, especially attacking wise. Gutted we couldn't hold on to a 2 goal lead, especially being at home, but got to give credit to Bristol, I would have been pretty pissed off if I was an away fan today and not getting the 3 points. A point is a good result for us today.

14 fucking thousand, looked less

I’d also echo that 4 points from those 2 first games is a great haul

I’d have been happy with 2

I'm sure it was. Very empty. And quiet.

how many people do you know ,who don't go anymore?

ask them why they stopped and then start a new thread with the answers

Velal looked big - he’s either been at the gym or McDonalds pre-season, But I couldn’t really work out which

He was a bit bobbins n all I thought

I’d agree with all that.

You could see it opening up down the right ages before they scored.

Alf coming on didn’t make a blind bit of difference in them scoring seeing as it was about 20 seconds after he came on ffs.

The gap on the right was being exploited well before that.

We simply missed amoebi today. Maybe this Turk needs trying out playing off JM, who I think is superb, as we have fuck all creativity in behind him.

It’s gonna be a long hard slog of season once again by the looks of it, but we will be fine.

...if you want free flowing attacking football it might be better to cancel your season ticket now :)

parky cost us that win. noone off for alf was crazy.

still happy with 4pts from 2 games mind.

far from convinced about lowe and murphy.

Veal looked big - he’s either been at the gym or McDonalds pre-season, But I couldn’t really work out which

Quite like veal but they dont do it at McDonalds

Olkowski is really not that difficult to say or type.

That's for those referring to him as 'the Pole'

Shit crowd and atmosphere today, I tried my best to no avail.

Second best by a mile today, but very happy with 4 points from those two games.

Like SJM a lot.

Quite like veal but they dont do it at McDonalds

Ha, good spot

Will edit it now

Wwll that was shit

As has been said, first half was utter drudgery, would have taken a draw after 20 mins and still woul have at half time.

Somehow found ourselves in dreamland at 2-0 but never secure, both goals conceded were poor, especially 2nd, criminal when we're winning to toss one when it was our corner. Olkowski did get caught up field I think for that but otherwise a cut above rest of our lot, confident, composed and quick.

Magennis, fair play, wasn't that excited when he signed but can't fault him, effort, commitment, prepared to have a contest with their CBs and took his goal very well.

Otherwise, same old same old at the back, Beevers and Taylor dreadful on ball, no pace in either of those or Wheater.

If Hobbs has any amount of pace and a grain of confidence to pass it forward to one of ours surely to god he should be in front of Beevers.

Only difference between Murphy / Lowe and Henry/Pratley is they're younger. Neither got a decent forward pass in them on today's showing.

On the atmosphere, Parky can't keep waving his arms about and trying to get it going when what's happening on the pitch is mind numbing. I was bored shitless by half time. People need something to get into, a few chances, a good move, couple of shots, there was nothing at all. If all he's going to do is stick rigidly to his game plan from last year and just freshen up the personnel it isn't going to enthuse people and put bums on seats.

I get that we pay our money to see results, and we've got four points, which I'd have snapped up from these two fixtures, but I was hoping that we might be trying to play a bit more football from the off this season.

In Portugal on my jollies but bloody happy with 4 points from 2 games would like to see the turk get a game instead of vela but seeing as not at the game I can't comment on the performance.

Their first goal was at least a yard off. If that gets called we win that game. They had a lot of possession but like most teams resorted to long balling it last 5 mins.

Disappointing to not get all three points but it's still a good start

Frustrating to draw after going 2-0 up. Bristol city look a decent team though.

Referee was absolute shit. The way he treated Magennis reminded me of Clattenburg with SKD.

Would've taken 4 pts from those two. Teams obviously still to gel yet especially midfield.

Lowe was great in my view.

Murphy isn’t fit.

Lowe was great in my view.

Murphy isn’t fit.

Lowe was great? What did he actually do?

The booking for dangerous play when Vela kicked the lad in the head (which was waist level) was absolute bollocks. As was his "not seeing" the rugby tactics of Brizzle.

I think the booking was for vela's reaction to getting pulled up on it, ie he told the ref to fuck off or similar

Same happened to taylor I think, ref only went for the card after he reacted to the foul being given

As for the result, I'd have taken the draw at half time and as soon as they got their first knew they get another

4 from 2, no complaints here

Took the lad to club shop and left at about 3 minutes to 3 and the queue for the ticket office was still all way up to stairs up to middlebrook.

What the fucks all that about?

Reading tickets next week
