So it seems. Got to ask then; what's the point?

Its basically just symbolic and just states ckearly for all to see that the stadium (and therefore BWFC) is an important part of the local community)

As far as i can see it has been used by the Supporters Trust to give an inflated view of their own importance and relevance. All it does is give them a chance to bid for the club even tho we all know they cant afford it. Its supporters would say it is an early warning system for someones intentions as if they apply to have it lifted their motives could be highlighted and questioned. Wouldnt actually stop them though ultimately

Warburton did well at Brentford

His players were sourced following the moneyball principle

Warburton didn't like that so left

Since then,he's done nowt

Is that true?

"Rasmus Ankersen and Phil Giles have been appointed as co-directors of football at the club and will be responsible for the recruitment of players and staff and for appointing a new head coach after Warburton leaves at the end of the month.

Warburton told The Morning View that while he respects the board’s decision to implement a new statistical modelling approach to transfers and recruitment, he did feel a sense of frustration that he won’t be in charge to try and spearhead the club’s push for promotion to the Premier League."

Wierd that you take it that way. I assume you're expecting 20k at the millwall game?

Kinnel your obsessed with crowd size

Give yourself a break be happy & enjoy the company of loyal fans.

I've read that and I'm pretty sure Brentford were already using stats based recruitment

Then when they wanted to expand it, he left

That's his prerogative but I'd say they've done very well without him

I'm more worried to find out mcparland was involvef

Obsessed with BWFC guilty as charged. Not sure where you get the obsession with crowd size just because I was having a conversation on crowds. Your definition of obsession doesnt match mine but each to their own.

I'm not an expert on the machinations of Brentford's backroom staff circa 2015, but it doesn't seem as simple as just him getting tired of the Moneyball stuff and leaving. He was happy with the way things were working with McParland as DoF and then they opted to change things (which has also been successful for them).

I think he comes across as a clever bloke, and I wouldn't write him off as a manager. At the same time, weird shit does follow him around and this situation (him being involved on the football side as well as being involved in the takeover) has the potential for weird shit.

I just know what I get from a friend of a friend

Brentford STH

Anyway, if the commonly held view that we have an unsackable manager, Warburton does seem to bring similar baggage

Anyway, we are all ready for a change, so let's get on with it

I thought he was director of football with Weir manager? The reason PP is unsackable is because KA can't afford to pay him off. If the new regime have the finance to sack someone it's happy days, if they don't it's back to square 1. Although giving out a contract that isn't 12 months rolling would be a start.

Am I right in thinking the car parks will return to the club ownership?

The devil's in the detail. We'll have to wait and see what arrangements have been agreed with PBP,  Brett Warburton and Uncle Eddie's trustees. And any idea that there isn't a chunk of borrowed money involved in all this strikes me as unduly optimistic.
