The first time I saw him play he was the best midfielder on the pitch in a Manchester Senior Cup Final at Old Trafford.United had Darren Fletcher in opposition.Vela then snapped his knee ligaments and never got back to that level of performance but was adequate for our needs as we dropped down the league ladder.I wish him well and hope he finds an employer that pays the wages on time

Such a shame as I recall him being magnificent when we won at Sunderland in the FA Cup in 2012/13 when they were Premier League and we were in the Championship. Ran the game that night, closely followed by Sordell of all people. Marcos Alonso and Benik Afobe were in our team that night. Funny how these things work out.
