Bit mixed.

Dead centre is clean, but some disrepair of buildings.

He does tend to focus on the negative, but raises a smile occasionally too.

I know the security guy helping the smack head type- he's a top fella.

I get a bit tired of people just being negative and having a pop at everything nowadays. 

It's not perfect by any means. But in general - the folk of Bolton are good people and I'm proud to live here.

That's every town centre in the UK nowadays isn't it? Especially in working class towns that have long been overlooked by central government.

It is.

It needs bringing to the fore though.

All these policies to chuck money artificially at a place, for taking on a high number of additional poor people clearly hasn't worked.

Neither has allowing shit loads of copycat put of town retail developments etc.

Now is the time, as we're starting to see in Bolton, to re-establish a population, and hopefully bring the need for some small independent shops back.

Make business rates fairer too, and make sure that online retailers pay their way.

Also a responsibility on the populous too; contribute by not chucking shit down on the floor, not vandalising things, and therefore costing everyone else money to put stuff right.

Social contract is a bit knackered all round.

I've no quarms about being from this town (nor that of my actual birth), but as things stand, with the right opportunity, I'd be off to the sticks, doing something slightly different.

I was in a garden centre here and the guy recognised my Bolton shirt. Said his ex was from Bolton so he did this Bolton accent. Usually Aussies are pathetic at English accents but have to admit his wasn't bad.

No surprise he's lost his shit before and attacked his partner. If that's him in public, fck knows how bad he gets at home. He has a new partner and a kid though, so hopefully he's trying to be better.

I wouldn't wish him to be beat up, won't make anything better and will only fuel his supporters.

I am sick of 'YouTubers' using their 'job' as an excuse to bully and harass people. Surely there comes a time when the police need to step in, look at the content and say you've got to stop or you'll be banned. That might anger the 'free speech brigade' like.

'Auditors' go round causing a nuisance for the police and businesses - this cunt just goes round antagonising homeless people, drug addicts, protestors, and anyone else he encounters. He featured in a BBC documentary in 2011 because he was "9/11 truther" (i.e. he thought it was an inside job). By the end of it, after discussions and interviews with victims families and actual experts, he did a full 180 and was converted. He's also got a history of domestic violence and assorted noncery, hence his Damascene Conversion to Christianity and the far right.
