That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Popping to sainsbury is the only chance I get to see sunlight at the moment. Not even that today. Finished work at 7. God its grim at the moment.

Girls on my team have all had their first jabs last week. Just had a email saying the 2nd jabs are cancelled and to expect a 3 month wait.

They've already explained the reasons for this, and makes sense to be fair

At the hospital

Ah, amateurs

Seriously, somebody up there needs to get a grip

Quick question, my Mrs went to her Aunt's funeral yesterday (covid death) my Mrs shared a car with her Mum, they all wore masks apparently, my mother in law gets tested weekly for covid because she works in a care home, unfortunately she testified positive for covid yesterday evening, will my Mrs now have to self isolate or only if she gets any symptoms?

I think close contact means self isolate .  If you wait for symptoms you will be infecting folk in the interim.

Yep - she needs to self isolate.  She should be getting a call from Track and Trace.  Nobody else in your household will have to though, unless she starts to show symptoms. I think.

Thanks for that, let's see how good our track and trace system is.

And how honest people are when dealing with them!

There are cases of both: I would guess its to do with whick vaccine you had first up.

If you've had the Pfizer one, then because of storage issues and numbers/splitting, some will come back for the second in 21 days to ensure no wastage.

Flexibility is important.

Do you know if 6 doses are routinely being given from each vial?

It was all over the news mate I read it on bbc and quick search online brings up numerous stories

I've been working pretty much as normal throughout. Lots at home but still on site work that whilst important you'd be hard pushed to call 'life and death'.

Driving into Manchester this morning and there's signs and radio messages saying I should only be out in an emergency.

I was feeling like perhaps I shouldn't be out here when I pulled up at the lights near the arena.  The Quooker shop there (boiling water from your tap place) had about half a dozen staff in that I could see, on the ground floor.  Well if they're in work and travelling in, it's easier to see why my employers want me in too.

Dad's been tested yesterday. Must be bad because I don't think he's seen a Dr since 1997. My Mums already digging his life insurance papers out 😂

How the fucking hell is the Quooker shop essential???

I'd shoot the owners, and kick to death anyone just going in for a browse.

Might not have been open if only staff visible?

Just the gaffer sorting out furlough.

But more than likely an unnecessary opening as you suggest.

I walked past an archeological survey business on Sunday (fuck knows what they do but anyway). Offices open. Two people in sat at their desks. No masks on.

how is that an essential business that needs to stay open and these two plebs can’t work from Home?? Absolutely keep working but surely they can do it without opening an office and having these two sat in there?

They will be open for 'click and collect' at the very least. Staff manning the phone etc.
