March 8, 20206 yr My beery defence technique is still doing the trick. It’s not cheap but I feel fine.

But both SK and Italy have over 7 thousand cases. 366 deaths in Italy. 50 odd in SK. Might just be older population in Italy. But that’s a 5% death rate vs 0.7%. That’s very different on face of it.

March 8, 20206 yr Italy are getting hammered. I wonder if it is because they look after their elderly at home rather than in a home and they have many more cases of older infected?

March 8, 20206 yr You'll see restaurants, cinemas and all other shit dropping off a cliff as cases increase over here and people stay home. Add in whole regions of China and Italy being on lockdown (with more to follow). 100% tipping us into a global recession this.
March 8, 20206 yr Northern Italy being on lockdown is a disaster for engineering firms. A huge amount of machinery and parts are made there with no viable alternatives. Throw the Chinese delays into the mix and May/June/July will be dire for everyone, once the knock on effects gather pace. The Italians have probably done the right thing here, as dramatic as it’s seems.

Just sat on benches staring into space all day long.
