That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Knew my local  Belmont Tap was gonna be busy yesterday so avoided it . instead called in Kings Head up Junction road ,sat out back next to the bowling green catching up with some old mates.

Called in the tap at lunch today , very regimented , did 4 hours and nobody stepped out of line

i could get used to this nod of the head and then table service.... dont know how long the bar staff will put  up with it though

Was more than a bit nervous about it but just seen my mum for the first time since February, no contact and well distanced. To say she was a bit emotional to see the kids and maybe even me is an understatement.

Tesco yesterday was the first time i've been since they scrapped the one way system and dont have anyone on the door. Free for all, back to normal and you could see some of the older staff were far from happy with it.

It's risk and reward. No masks in pubs rewards the pub industry, treasury, and mental wellbeing of patrons, no masks in shops rewards who?.

No masks in pubs and shops increases overall risk.

I've not been in a pub yet, but if there's distancing, good hygiene and good fresh air ventilation, I'd assume it's less risky than a busy, large supermarket, but more risky than a quiet, well ventilated shop.

I haven't been in a supermarket or pub since March so I may be talking out of my hoop.

I’ve been in supermarkets and had no issues. And not caught it nor know anyone that seemingly has and all been in and out of supermarkets.

let’s see what happens now the pubs are open.

I suspect it's a lot to do with giving people a sense of having their life back and getting the economy going again

People generally have to go to supermarkets to get by

They don't have to go to pubs and if they have to wear masks they probably won't

Hospitals, hospices, transport hubs, public toilets, offices without windows, nightclubs are all riskier I bet. And wacky warehouses of course. And brothels

I’m not saying for one minute there aren’t more risky places. Of course there are.

answer me this mate as i respect your views on this topic.

why now? Why masks now in supermarkets? Why not when case levels were through the roof and rising? Explain the logic to me in it or science please?

I think at the time they were trying to reinforce the stay at home message and didn't want to confuse the situation by saying masks are ok. This has now backfired when they want to say masks work nobody believes them.

Good point that. Hadn’t thought of that

I think its because initially the govmt were scared of a mask shortage and the WHO change in advice a few weeks ago finaly persuaded them. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/who-updates-guidance-on-masks-heres-what-to-know-now/

Bought some masks today. Not needed to use any yet, but likely to need them soon by the sounds of it. Will definitely need them anyway, when I start travelling on public transport / in taxis.

But surely if the risk in these places was so high that it now needs a mask then that should have outweighed a fear about a shortage? Or is this a monumental fuck up by the government? And in that I include all 4 nations

Been to the local on Thursday night and had a beer in Skipton earlier and now In a pub next to the caravan park I’m at, all have been decent in terms of social distancing and all have procedures. In and out doors, table service and hand gel and distanced tables.

it’s been good. If folk are sensible it’s good.

feels a bit normal, I like it.

If you haven't got any masks, and they become mandatory in shops, how do you get into a shop to buy them?

Think there's something called online shopping these days?

I’ve not got it

never seen the need. Bet it’s full of wankers.

Maybe them murderous black drug lords and their foot soldiers that Undies is worried about could start selling PPE ?

It’s boring now

just everybody crack on with or without masks

So you have to shop online to get something that allows you to shop offline.

Anyhow, my wi-fi enabled mask idea has been taken up (last stages of paperwork) by a major player, so I'll be able to pay people to shop for me soon. I'll send you all a postcard from my yacht.

Last time I used it, some ginger dildo said he had strawberry blonde hair, never bothered with it since.
