Mrs told me something she'd seen

"Asking people to wear masks 4 months into a pandemic is like putting a condom on at the 12 week scan"

Apart from the fact in one instance you are already pregnant and in the other you do not have the virus and people are less likely to die if you wear a mask.

It's more like putting a plaster on a wound that's been bleeding for 4 months. You don't let the fact that in hindsight it should've been applied earlier stop you from applying it now.

Current govt policy is that use of masks is recommended in shops, so yesterday Gove decides not to bother

#doasisaynotasido

Its no wonder Hancocks confused, to be fair

Matt Handjob was on Lorraine earlier trying to quantify why you can be in the office all day with people and not wear a mask but you had to while in a shop.

Fuck me. If that's science I'm Einstein

There is no science behind some places and others not. Should be everywhere or nowhere

I don't know how things like this (i.e. guidlines and advice) were delivered in other countries (apart from the US), but is it any fucking wonder our numbers are so high and that we have people strolling around doing what the fuck they want

autumn is going to be grim

I've given up trying to make sense of anything these bellends come up with

I used to think that to be an MP, especially a minister, you had to be up there amongst the brightest of our country. I'm pretty sure that used to be the case, but fuck me, a good proportion of this lot are absolutely thick as fuck,

Definately an opening for someone of your superior brainpower; you must have considered it, surely?

And also rather ironic considering Mr Brown follows the red party who have undoubtedly got some of the thickest fuckers ever seen in Parliament.

Abacus abbot springs to mind. If that’s not in someway mentally challenged  then I would be very surprised.

I would say so

Boris and this lot just come across as complete buffoons playing at it

I'm certain any other Tory leader in my lifetime would've come across as competent

Thanks, too kind.

Whilst blessed up top, I’m lacking in morals and conviction.

A lot think this, but they get paid fuck all compared to proper jobs - if we want the best, we have to pay more, as simple as that really. Anybody with a decent brain can get a private sector job earning more than the PM does, and there are plenty who do. I think it's @birch-chorley who has said it before, we need less of them, and we need to pay them a proper wage, then we might attract a better calibre of person to the job

Some of them come from such wealthy stock, that being an MP is just something to while away the hours, look down on the plebs and top up spending money. JRM is a perfect example of that

Back to covid

When bozo said last week that people should go back to work if they can, does that mean  the earlier go to work only of you can't do it at home has been chucked in the bin

Genuine question, btw

He wants people in offices to boost the trade and economy of those reliant on commuters.

Went into the office yesterday in Central manc and popped out on dinner. It was dead compared to a usual lunch. Loads of Shops still shut on King Street and the sainsburys local on cross street still 'temporarily closed'.

Employers aren't rushing their staff back.

its not just MPs. Journalists are right up there, listened to a nurse explaining it is advisable for a man to shave his beard off for a mask to function'

Nicky Cambell on talk sport needed a couple of explanations before he nearly got it !!

The Official advice is still to work from home where you can.

Further unofficial advice is to return to work where it safe.

What to do where it is both safe at work, but you are also able to work from home is unknown.

And more to the point, in the above case, can your employer insist you return to the office, where you are currently working from home, if you feel unsafe ? (or claim to ......).
