Yeah but if you’ve sat in a pub with a load of randoms in a small confined space all talking and shouting etc and getting more gregarious as they get pushed and then compare that to a supermarket where even before masks they were always seemingly fine.

the fact pubs are asking for contact details is testament to the risk they pose. I see it the opposite way of you

Absolutely. It was a condition of them opening for a reason.

See, I don't really differentiate between types of establishments with regards to risk: pubs I would imagine have a higher chance of airborne infection, but supermarkets perhaps higher chance of surface contact infection.

If I go into the garden centre/butcher's, I wear a mask and use their sanitizer on the way in. Use my own sanitiser in the van/car on the way out.

Don't go into the supermarket, because it's difficult for them to control risk. Might go out for a meal at some point, but in no great hurry.

One thing, supermarkets aren't taking your contact details before entering. Pubs are, which I guess helps level risks up should there be a flare up.

Pub I went to on Saturday didn’t take any details

I saw one uber cunt saying

'this countries obsession with a war that ended 75 years ago is unhealthy' as he was rioting about slavery that ended 400 years ago.

As I'll keep saying... Twitter is full of twats

I went in 3 pubs on Sunday. Not one asked for contact details.

I even had a free afternoon out.....

I can see a U-turn on these masks by next week, or the shops will state its they are not mandatory.  They won't want to lose business and they know the majority of people will not wear them.

I went to the vets yesterday, they had just re-opened and Ted the beddy needed his annual jabs, got there and about 15 people with pets all standing about in the car park, the vets, wearing masks were coming outside and collecting the pet then returning it to the owner. The pet owners wouldn't or didn't wear a mask so were not allowed in, i had one, so went in with the dog and waited inside were there was only 2 others waiting, so it seems the majority are against them.

I read a statement from the Police stating they cannot fully Police it and its goingvto be very difficult for them, and that they would like to see the full legislation on this new law.

Apart from the odd twat they are being worn up here by everyone. It’s actually really noticeable when someone isn’t wearing one my missus says as they stand out. But it isn’t being enforced by the supermarkets it would appear

Probably because some supermarket staff refuse to wear them.

If i'm a cunt for not wanting to wear one, then i am a cunt 😁

I am also a cunt as I don’t want to wear one. But I am being respectful of other folk. I’m not going into big supermarkets but will pop into coop etc and wear one as it takes 5 mins which is max I’m wearing one for. Anything longer it’s a no and I will avoid the place

GPs have been warned they may be flu vacc ing everybody

They had to order this years flu vacs in January

Even of they had capacity to get everybody vacced, they wouldn't have the vaccs

yet another example of the idiots at the top not checking the practicalities

there was something on the news over here over the weekend, that even IF they found a vaccine , they would not have enough glass vials to put said vaccine in for everyone, there would be a shortage, thats before anything else is put in them for flu and the like

Strange experience using the vets at the moment. Had to take the cat last week and then found we had to have her put to sleep. With the rules as they are we weren't allowed inside and they said they could just do it but the Mrs couldn't stand the thought of the poor little bugger being in a room of strangers when it happened. As such, they had to do it in the car park while the Mrs had her in her arms, made a shit experience all a little grimmer. Anyway, my point is the rules were nonsense in practice, in these situations. The vet felt so sorry for my Mrs she was giving her a hug.

I should add, wearing a mask and going in wasn't an option there.

Sorry to hear about that, seems a right faff and pretty incentive but not really the Vets fault, just the whole situation.

The Vet i saw even pulled her mask down when in the surgery, probably uncomfortable wearing it all day.

I got a text the day before stating the rules, so at least they gave me a heads up.

Oh aye, it's no fault of the vets themselves, just the way things are. As I say, she was was more than sympathetic with our maude. I even tried to squeeze a couple of tears out myself, in the hope of a hug from her as well. 😁

That only works if your comparing two apples. Not an apple and an orange.

Or a kettle and a concrete bridge.

So no-one can say that South Korea have done a better job of handling it than Brazil?

Flu vaccines are incubated in chicken eggs. If this is the same that’s a fuck load of chickens needed
