😂 . All the best managers are Scottish fact

Ditto, just stateing that he has done better than I expected.

I'm the same, some characters aren't worth having even if they are decent at their job.  And yes Barton has done better than most expected, including me.  Credit to him for the team he's got at Fleetwood but I wouldn't have him near BWFC.

On possible reasons....a few seem to lose jobs in Jan either because the club doesn't want to be landed with players they may no longer want in the summer should the manager not stay till next season, or they have a disagreement over funding/sales/buys, as happened with both Colin Todd and BSA's resignations.

How much is a hitman?

Port Vale manager sacked , not won since they whacked us 6-3.

Crikey.

Worse than the fact they've not won since they beat us, that was the only win in 12 games and most of those were defeats.  Genuinely thought Vale looked like the best team to come to our place this season, the only team that could attack with pace and strength and shoot with power and accuracy.  What a wierd division.

Why has he left- has it been stated.

Re. Joey Barton.

Speaking with a guy from there yesterday & the word is that the club had had enough of his constant fall outs.  He'd had several run-ins with players, local meeja and even the owners (& opposition managers).

The final straw came with his fall out with Ched Evans at a bit of a social event when Evans & anither player took the piss out of him and it led to actual fisticuffs. Following this he suspended Evans and told him to find another club.

The players had lost it with with him & he'd, as the saying goes, "lost the dressing room".

The owner, however, did a fuller investigation and decided that it was Barton who was at fault & that he was no longer defendable given a whole, continuous list of misdemeanours they'd continually parked and the team's views of him. I asdume Evans will bw reprieved now too.

Obviously there'll be more to it but it all adds up & will be a surprise to few. Still, his "success" to date will mean someone else will take the risk of the obnoxious twat.

Just hope we've already arranged Crellin's return.

Well yes.

But I’m unsure as to what point you’re alluding to.

I agree that at a time of appointing a manager we all throw about options of managers who may/may not fit the bill, but a mangers life is generally short-lived and what might be the case one month may be something completely different a few months down the line.

If you’re searching out my current thoughts, I’m happy to oblige. I wish Dean all the best, I hope he can turn that potential into something positive in the future (as long as it’s not at Wigan or anything equally as preposterous).

But as I’m sure you know I have been a  big supporter of FV, their appointment and continued backing of IE and steps to make us better. I have no issue with the way we moved and I trust the direction we are moving in.

Holden had a win percentage of 43.9 at Bristol City, hardly a disaster imo, they have lost their last 6 games on the bounce, typical panic decision by the Bristol board.

Barrow now looking for their 3rd manager of the season.

57 days. Blimey.

I  had to look. It was Michael Jolley, the Cambridge graduate with a bit of a temper. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Club, (which includes a summer break clause ???). So that'll be expensive.

7 games, 5 defeats. I win.

Apparenty "The club said that the board and ex-Grimsby boss Jolley, who was hired after the dismissal of David Dunn, had different views on how the team should play.

The decision also follows a period of heavy mid-season recruitment, Barrow made nine new signings in January and then controversially furloughing some players who were left out of favour.

In a statement, Barrow chairman Paul Hornby said today: “It has become apparent even in such a short space of time that unfortunately the board and Michael have differing visions for how the team should play, which has led to this change being made".

Blimey.

Summer break clause makes it inexpensive surely ? As long as it’s in favour of the club which it will have been

Wasn't he linked with us after Chino left?
