I take it he loved a bit of Jackett

Yep, always touting him. I just couldn’t take anyone seriously who looks like Errol the hamster from Roland Rat (Jackett, not Birch)

Preston sack Alex Neil, 16th in the Championship.

I'm not sure where their fans expect them to be, we will be passing these fuckers in the next couple of years.

Surprising. Yet it's surprising they're 16th tbf.

Their fans are bemused that over the past 30 years Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Wigan, Oldham, even Blackpool have been in the Prem. In some cases for many years yet (one even winning it, sorry), whilst never being shite they've never seriously threatened it. I suppose the Cardiff play-off to is is as close as it's got.

They don't seem to do angry, just disappointed.

I don't think it was fan pressure that got him sacked.

I think it was more mutual consent, but it wasn't really working out. He won't struggle to find work elsewhere.

Tbh I do not think their fans do, they are probably one of the most irrelevant clubs in Football. Blackpool are their main rivals, they get shit home crowds, but tbf they take decent following away.

They claim Blackpool are irrelevant but like you say that’s it who else gives a shit about them, their London followings held up well for a period whilst getting discounted travel plus it’s on a direct line

Weren't Preston one of the clubs that helped us out when we were in the shit? I for one wouldn't wish bad on them

Yep. I know loads of PNE fans, and they're generally alright. Every club has its share of bellends of course.

If they had 2 or 3 points less it could be very interesting given the run they're on.

Next 4 games are Norwich, Swansea, Brentford, Stoke so good luck to the new manager getting an upturn in results.

Sorry to say I told you so, but over THREE years ago I pointed out that he needed to go.
