Wanderers Ways. Neil Thompson 1961-2021

This is a fixture with a low scoring record. We've never won there in the league and no team has ever scored more than one goal in a game. Indeed it was the same in the home fixtures until James Henry got the winner for us against them under Parkinson in 2016/17 over Xmas.

A win would be brilliant, a draw no disaster... provided we then go on to beat Southend next weekend.

Same team, or one or two changes?

For me, rest Fonz and replace with isgrove or Darcy.

Difficult to predict, fancied us yesterday, not so sure about this.

A draw.

He's been reluctant to play Tutte on both the Sat & Tues, so a change there wouldn't be a surprise.

When was the last time we won 4 in a row?

Dogshit cups don't count Shirley?

Our last 6 League games -  Stevenage W, Salford W, Mansfield D, Leyton Orient L,Bradford W, Cambridge D.

11 Points from a possible 18, not too shabby considering the way we started the campaign.

We’ll be hard pressed to beat the Irons, 2-2

Good point but their Brain Laws era is over and Adkins was never in the mix.

The way we are playing at the moment gives me a good feeling and if we keep it tight I think we'll get something.

Every time I've been there , Kevin has bee sat close to me:-)

Definitely not, especially when its 11 different players, playing against U21s.  Whenever we quote the bad run of results we dont count the Shrewsbury and Crewe defeats, quite rightly, so we cant change it just because we won one.

Neil Cox is the Scunny manager and our ex keeper Mark Howard plays for them too.

Scunthorpe 0 Bolton 2

So for the 1st time this season we can definitely say our keeper is better than the opposition's.

provided Gilks remains in goal.

No longer an issue, barring injury.  IE may have been 10 games too late and its probably cost us half a dozen points, but he's seen the error of his ways and another keeper will be signed in January.

They let in a late goal in Saturday or would have won 3 on the run.

Tougher than I thought !
