Orient (H)

No slouches these men. we need wins on the board pretty sharpish, reckon if Lee and John are fit, we can do these.

He did indeed. Overall though he did well, a bit of pace and ran with it well.

Mine looked at me as if fook all had happened.

"What are we having for dinner?"

At that moment; who gives a toss! :)

To go into Bernard Woolley mode for a mo, it's cocks that technically pull out rather than fannies, ::lol::!!!

Not a chance in hell

Easier to say this evening. If you are 19th out of 24 in any division beyond the halfway mark of the campaign then avoiding trouble is going to be the immediate aim. I grant you it's a bit easier in a league in which only two get relegated.

Agreed.

Although Thomason needs to play a bit more positively with the ball sometimes. But I'm sure that'll come as hebplays more games.

I'm certainly glad Arthur wasn't sent back to Africa. ;)

Fonz to work on his finishing ahead of the next game methinks.

A slightly different role for Thomasson today. Especially second half, more competing for the ball and a bit more of a scrap. Dived in once or twice and got didn't get the ball. Did quite well overallthough; covered a lot of ground and with 4 attacking players, him and Lee needed to be efficient in there.

Henshaw had a point about opening his body up a bit more when receiving the ball, but he still passed it reasonably well.

Shout out to Brockbank too- got forward well at times.

Also like Jackson, defending well and supportive in attack.

In fact, a decent all round performance.

It’s only a good win if we build on it

but can enjoy a Saturday night for a change

Know what you mean, but if we lose next 2 its even more of a good win today, otherwise we really were staring down the barrell.  I think most of us would have taken 3 points from these 3 games so its good to have a pressure free couple of games now.

The picks for me were Baptiste who was imperious, Lee with lots of little crucial foot ins, and Arthur who gave us another dimension and got them on the backfoot.

Well this feels nice doesn't it 🙂

Feels great.

I never thought I'd see the words imperious and Baptiste in the same sentence, but I agree, his best performance in a BW shirt surely.  Santos didn't put a foot wrong either.

And right about Arthur, its not always about the final delivery etc, its the fact that he puts the opposition on the back foot and gives them something to think about.  Baffling he's not had more chances.

Just seen the goals again, the ball takes a bobble just before Doyle shoots, it’s a great finish.

Baptiste has probably played most his career in back 4 and looked very comfortable. Both he and Santos seemed to have a good understanding

Could & should have been more but still lovely.......when we put it together for 90 mins & take our chances, we're going to gub somebody.

Early days, but with Sarce in for Thomasson, this might be our best team.

MOM, Lee did a lot of the unglamorous stuff well, Arthur was a real threat going forward but not always so good defensively, but i'd share it between Baptiste & Santos - both excellent !!

It was getting too close for comfort for me and still is.

We won't go down but I don't even want to contemplate getting dragged in to a dog fight

That was my feeling.  It hadn't got to the stage where I didn't think we'd avoid the bottom 2, but to go into April even with a sniff of going down wouldn't be acceptable, eg a 5 point gap with 3 to play, just not on under any circumstances.  10 points feels a whole lot better, and upto 3rd bottom in 10-game form table! (Colchester not won in 9, when can we play em?).

Noticed at Exeter and again today, Lee is very intelligent with the positions he takes up, blocking off runs and making passes not playable by the opposition.

You can tell he’s played at a higher level, he’s a step ahead of most

Delf should get 20+ goals this season - he won’t, but he should. He gets a lot of chances per game, possibly more than Doyle.

Maddest thing was Arthur never got a sniff after his impact the other week for me

Didn’t rate Fonz today but he’s got to stick with them 2 and Doyle next match now 👍🏻

3 or 4 times today Fonz picked the ball and glided past players into space, looked so easy, which is why he is so frustrating.
Lee as mentioned played well doing bits and pieces so in second half a few balls played towards Brockbank , Lee was there so never over run.
Arthur like Fonz had a few possessions were he took men on and kept them pushed back.

A very solid team performance, whilst creating lots of chances.

Got really annoyed when Isgrove bought the ball out of defence and the guy chasing him pulled him back twice, then had a swipe but no yelllow when you look at bookings we have picked up.

Think he picked his team with one eye on Tuesday night......Can see Tutte, Crawford and John coming in even Delaney if fit

Would go same again

I fucking well hope not.

Playing two wingers and two strikers we have created more chances today than any other game I can remember this season hopefully we will stick with it

Crawford can fook off!

Comfortable win.

Well played Bolton.

Glad to see Lee get through the 90.

Hope we don’t lose Santos on Monday.

BTW Gary Henshaw is an awful co-commentator.

Thinks Harrogate still play @ Doncaster & Doyle’s goal was the keepers fault.

The guy lacks basic football knowledge.

He’s an idiot.

Edited by captainmed

He wasn't the best, and messed a few things up, but I think Isgrove is Ok. He looks like a footballer, puts a shift in and works some good openings.

That certainly was an odd one from him.

Touting his services as a coach to Thomason - er, no thanks Gary

Had to listen to orients commentators,  have to chuckle at some of the things the opposition blokes say.  Example - 'we have dominated possession in this 2nd half'    there was 2 mins and 17 seconds gone !!

Zebedee, is he conning someone he’s a footballer? The break he made consisted of a touch, a boot upfield and a tame shot. Other (better) players would perhaps have kept the ball close. I thought he got fairly lucky that the keeper didn’t come out to boot it upfield. I certainly thought he was probably closer to it but opted to stay.

Don't agree with Fonz I thought he had his best game for a long time; yes he should have buried the two chances but his overall play was good. Saying that he didn't challenge for their early corner which could have give a goal away
