Makes no difference to me, I’m not a football fan, I’m a Bolton Wanderers supporter, couldn’t care less about anyone else and have no interest in watching them, my love is my club.

  • May be on my own here but I want em to go and be expelled. The talent fucks off when the money goes bump (oh well as Bolton fans we should be ok with this)  The money lost rekindles the inte

Probably why this super league have done it now

If you’re bankrolling a competition to £5bn then I’m pretty sure you will be lawyered up to fuck and they would have expected it

Needs the players to boycott it.

But again are players likely to do that and miss out on playing in an international tournament ?
Think ALL the governing bodies need to come together but then let FiFa make the decision . As crooked as they are theyre the boss.

Well, NFL does quite well, and lots of people really love baseball. Support isn't based on a league format in many places.

Random full stops are just because I'm useless with the Samsung keypad for.some reason.

Listen, it's a terrible idea, but not because of the format, that's getting caught up in the detail and not seeing what is going on here. This is about power, power and money; who controls the game and who makes the decisions.

Even if this doesn't come to.fruition in this format, it's too important a move to be dismissed. As I said earlier we're still in a who blinks first moment. Governing bodies or the clubs.

It’s all threats with no substance FA could of banned players and clubs when the prem broke away from the football league they didn’t and won’t now .
Last thing the FA will want is a week England side not being able to qualify for tournaments because of banned players and loss of revenue .

The premier league and the FA will all be payed off to let it go through with compensation

Gary Neville and the rest of them will all be commentating on the games if sky get the rights

the Liverpool and united fans will pay there money to watch it once it starts and all the fuss will go away

The FA set up the Premier League, breaking away from the Football League.

Have to call their bluff.
Thing is with FIFA their rules aren’t watertight forever having their rules overturned. You can’t be a governing body and not have the final say.

Not to mention FIFA are the most corrupt organisation in sport. The Mafia doesn’t like the new cartel.

Cant argue with any of that .

Players hold all the cards.

They either all get together and say nah fuck this, none of us are playing in your shit exhibition league - at which point the idea ends (as long as all the good ones agree and take the same stand).

Or they realise just how much power they hold and all of a sudden go from earning £150k a week to £1m a week.

I wonder which way that will go 😳

I’m with the opinion of quite a few on here as in let them go and play in this so called super league. Think it will soon get boring with the same teams ending at the top again , kick them out they can’t have it both ways ! If we end up with a financially weakened comp so what it will be the same for everybody . The only worry I have is will rich backers get involved with clubs if there is no massive financial gain for them to be had ?

As if

they’re all greedy

For gods sake, look at Pogba

£13,000,000 pa

for what!!!

you seriously don’t expect Kane to upset his applecart

no integrity, no commitment, no honesty

if the big six go, then we should apply new criteria

1 -2 foreigner players

at least 10 players living within 25 mile radius of club ground

Player Payment ratio to club turnover

Percentage of turnover invested in youth teams/ grass root

minimum 12 month contracts

no stupid payouts for failed managers

free access to school development projects , training and live games

I’m still waiting for the first manager or player in any of these “ top 6 “ teams to rebel

who has got the guts

My money on Klopp

Govt say they wont let it happen

If they are serious, i reckon its quite easy to do

Just dont grant safety certs or provide police

Surely thats the simplest way to stop it....if they want to, which i doubt

6 healthy donations to the Tory party will see to that idea.

Yup that and the revolving door between investment banks and the senior echelons of the civil service.

Sky sports news saying 14% of Fans in their survey want this ESL to go ahead, they must have surveyed the owners because that figure is bullshit.

If they only surveyed fans of the clubs concerned, it might be realistic.

Seems high if it is fans in general.

Of course,.depending upon how the question was phrased, some may have said, yes fuck em off. Not endorsing it, but happy for the clubs to be gone.

Let them go.

I think this will be a good thing for English football.

Start a fresh.

Depends to a large degree on how 'fan' is defined. If your 30 year Liverpool season ticket holder from Speke carries the same weight as your Facebook 'liker' from Seoul then it's plausible.

I've had a season ticket at Wanderers since the early nineties, I started following the results of Baltimore Orioles Baseball as it was one of the first sports back from lockdown and I enjoyed The Wire. It really ain't the same thing.

I'm.not sure people.are bored of play off franchise models.in other countries.

dunno if franchising is what europeans (as sport fans) want.

my guess is its similar to rupert murdochs australian "super league war" from a bit back.

forget what happened fully , but both leagues ran parallel for at least one season and added padded out teams to make up the numbers (espesh rupe's league)... in the end, murdoch won , but i dont reckon mid tier nfl owners have the stomach for a stalking horse soccer league.

iimagine if the giants or the cowboys wanted more money over shitty no fans teams like the rams* or buccs* ??

theyd go apeshit if the same money carving out crap was tried on their teams.

"no !!! jerry jones !!  think about the CBA !! its not fair !! "

If they meant it theyd move them to the MLS and that wouldve been mooted from the start. if foreign money is that great , they need to back it up.

* yeah, theres a reason i havent said jacksonville or wherever...

Or people have said 'let them go, good riddance fuck em' . You could interpret 14% of responses on here as supportive of it , if you were that way inclined. As a veteran of the Brexit thread you know how easy it is for one side to take the meaning of something and twist it .

I am amazed it is not more given the access people will have to the "Top football". match going folk won't like it but millions will log in at tea time mid week and watch the games.

Everyone is looking after themselves

Glazers at united

Sheikhs at city

Neville at Salford

Dont been fooled

Imagine the potential of 1000s of new fans at your club if all this kicks off 🙄
