  • I just want my lad to witness a promotion. Don't really care what happens or who plays for us after that. I definitely will in the future, but the absolute focus has to be to get out of this mind-numb

  • I disagree. His BWFC years were some of his greatest and happiest of his career. His latest SSN documentary piece highlighted this, as does countless footage of his wonder, his PFA nominatio

There's about 6 current starters I'd want nowhere near the championship.

Charlton seem to be doing well with little spending done so it's possible to get that first solid season under your belt

Aye same with Oxford I suppose.

I just wouldn't fancy any of our CBs up there. Morley and Sheehans days would be numbered too.

Im so glad we dont have that mad god botherer in charge of us acting extra in every game though.

Excluding the obvious loanee, Sheehan would be top of my list to make the transition.

I think a couple of ours could hack it in the Championship including Toal if played in the correct position and Conway when he matures a bit more. Several more are borderline for me. Given the contracts handed out it may take a while for a rebuild and we may face a couple of seasons battling to survive en route.

I don’t think you can ever tell lusty until you get there. Some players grow into it who you may not think would and surprise you and others you’d think would thrive just don’t do it. Anyway, we’re nowhere near there yet so it’s performing in L1 I’m more interested in.

Looks like everyone including Victor are back and training

Fair point. In Toals case I was going off his international performances against top tier players. In conways case I was going off his potential. The rest - or at least the ones who we’ve signed, it’s a maybe - including other internationals like Gale.

Is Gale back training ?

Everyone is back training properly but can’t imagine Gale and EE play any part tomorrow save them for Bradford at home

Hope he plays Tutu left wing and not the step over king

With the Stevenage game being off SS has a bit more time to get those on the comeback trail as ready as they can be to contribute if needed v Bradford, then in that busy run of games up to Xmas.

Maybe one or two might get some minutes v Oldham?

Who do we have on the bench for the 10  Dempsey, Randall or Mcatee????

Dempsey for his graft, he's not as talented as the other 2 but their talent only shows once every Preston Guild otherwise games just pass them by. At least with Dempsey he's going to put the effort in.

I'm a big fan of Dempsey and would disagree that he isn't as talented as the other 2, his passing, dribbling, shooting and heading is every bit as good or better.  FWIW I think all 3 put the effort in, that's not a problem, its just that Randall isn't very good.  McAtee gets grouped with him because they seem to be the no.10 options (despite one being a midfielder and one a striker) but McAtee is miles better and far more likely to score or assist as he's shown consistently when selected this season and last.

Any News on ACD?

Scan this morning, it says in the BN.

Perhaps something later, but probably on the morning when they have had a proper look at the results.

Rumour on the socials it's 8-10 weeks 🤦‍♂️

from the BEN

“Amario has done some knee ligament damage like we’d feared,” he confirmed. “He has got a lateral ligament tear so he is going to be out for eight to 10 weeks, probably, so that was not the news that we wanted, a couple of months at least

8-10 weeks is just a softening of saying out for the season isn't it really, lucky for the lad that it shouldnt harm him long term, but for us may as well write him off now and look for a replacement.

If it is 8-10 weeks, then it's less than I expected and he's back for the run-in and potentially playoffs.
