Dogshit half. Dogshit pitch but let's not use that as the only excuse.

Probably too many changes and we can't defend set pieces for toffee.

Some dog shit would improve the pitch

  • I don’t like Burton

  • Exactly this - write it off, win the next 2, call it a bad day. Easy for me to say though when I can just shut the laptop and not travel all the way back from fucking Burton.

  • Dont blame Evatt whatsoever for changing it up, its why we have a sqaud. 8 games in a month etc. You cant account for conceding at set pieces. That's down to the players on the pitch and doing th

Williams hasn’t looked with it for a while. Needs resting. May as well give him a half off here and go for it.

He's been poor for a while you're right. But also we are three down, we might aswell sacrifice the defensive midfielder.

How have we let John brayford, a shit right back, score twice. Fuck me.

Ive not been too impressed with Dempsey since hes been here.

Has it really only taken a proper dreadful 45 mins to make people revert to the "we're fucking shit, he's shit him, fuck off shit cunt" type stuff to come back? Hahahaha ace club

Was never going to last.

Anyway lets now get ready for next season.

The away form must improve however if we are to mount any form of serious challenge.

Yeah it seems odd to say our away form needs to improve when we've won the previous 2, but we didn't claim to be the better team in either game and had to ride our luck at times.  We aren't imposing ourselves on away games at all as evidenced by the failure to ever score first other than near the end.

But its all about next season, its great to have no pressure games and not be looking at teams below us.

Easy to say too many changes, when there is still a fundamental issue with us defending the high/long stuff.

Of course we could keep the ball better and reduce the opportunities for the opposition, but there is a continued problem on small, crappy pitches with direct opponents.

Fleetwood, here, Morecambe, Accy.

Dunno how he does it, but only way we get owt is to get the big boys on now

Dapo and charles for any 2, prob sadlier and baka, unless we roll another dice and go 4 at the back

Id have taken 2 draws from oxford and tonight so we are massively in credit

And my dodgy has gone shit after a good first 30

You said it earlier, but as good as our squad is you look at the players not in the 11 and it was always going to be a weaker team.

I think we can swap one or two at a time, probably more so at home where we’re more comfortable, but 4 has proved too much.

Having said all that, if we could defend a set piece and Baka slots his chance then it would look very different - we’ve not exactly been hammered all half.

Agree with the 2 draws from these 2 games.

And if we were offered a win and a loss, think most would've taken Oxford.

Back on it Saturday

They're 3-0 up and you'd think they were losing the way the fans are & the way the atmosphere is. Getting smashed by a town that don't even like footy.

There was a Burton-on-Trent football league match before there was a Manc derby.

And St Georges Park is nearby (with much better pitches!).

Will only take a good half to go back the other way too!

Think of that 96/7 season. Great football - but on a night like tonight you had Taggart, Fairclough, Pollock, Bergsson, Todd etc. It's that type of thing that we need to add in the summer.

Evatt not happy. Sent em out early.

Boooo

Evatt out

Double boooo

I’m not sure anyone has said that, but you’re hardly going to see anyone cheer the fucking lads off when we’re 3-0 down at half time, regardless of current form.

Is it worth risking Dion & Dapo? Even if they both get one or two back we'll get done on another set piece whilst risking our two best players on a dire pitch. Fleetwood, Plymouth, Stockport all over again. We smashed Sunderland 6-0 in a football match & now we're getting humbled again on a sandcastle due to set pieces that we look to neglect which is a cycle all season. Not the end of the world we weren't going to go up this season with our unpredictability but need to cut this shit out next season.

The pitch is a shocker, my lad reckons Leicester ladies played on it yesterday, no doubt that’s helped Burton.

We score next game on we can still do this they are not that good

Pitch has produced negatives all day.

One of those days.

Nothing to worry about and nothing to change.

Yep.

Looking at stats, we never have good "headers won" figures. Not necessarily something to get too worked up over, but throughout the team it is a weakness.

Maybe started slow, got caught and paid for it.

Don’t risk bringing on Morley, Charles and Dapo. Keep them fit / fresh for the weekend.

Another medical emergency.

Which end?

I honestly think if we can get one then we’ll get something out of it

I would be fucking embarrassed to host a game of football on that pitch, it is utter dogshit.
