Looking at a long girls weekend witht the girls in Albufeira. Close to bars and restaurants and not a shit hole. Im 35 now the 1* holiday apartments are a thing of the past. Anyone any recommendations?

Arrived multi storey T1 1038. Bags dropped and through security by 1053. 
 

airport still advising folk to turn up early and then asking people what time there flight is when entering terminal and if you’re too early asking them to wait outside. Madness

Doing that tomorrow to avoid any stress on Monday morning. Until we discover we’ve forgot to pack something!

Oh, and fuckin’ Ryanair never fail to surprise. Can take daughters Trunki no problem on Jet2 outbound. Coming home with Ryanair - they want best part of 60 Euros. Scammers.

We did that at East Midlands in 2020. Was weird going to the airport without the cases, kept feeing like we were forgetting something. Can’t see we often have to queue at check in though, particularly with the ones you can do yourself. 

Flew from T1 last week, total nightmare going. 1 hour 15 in queue for passport control/body scanners.

Coming back was off the plane, bags collected and in the car within 50 mins. Belting.

Theyve just not enough staff to manage when its busy, the main passport bit was shut and they were using the normal overspill bit for the entire terminal.

It's not really a scam, though, is it?

Ryanair, like Easyjet & WizzAir only allow a small 40cm cabin bag for free.
That's why their flights cost fuck all, it's all about the upsell.

One of my mum's neighbours works in security at Ringway.

I occasionally speak to her, and during covid obviously things were more or less shut.

She kept her job, but it seems plenty have gone elsewhere and it's just taking a while to get new recruits in and trained up/cleared.

Think they lost loads of staff to amazon after they opened a massive distribution centre close by.

Flew from T1 last week, early sunday morning, straight through security in 10 mins. Coming back flight was hour delayed, pilot said due to manchester airports ongoing issues, passport control wasn't too bad on way back, 20 mins or so. Overall sounds like we did well

I should have flown from T1 almost a fortnight ago, but my flight was switched to T3, 3 hrs before it was due to depart.

Walking from T1 with cases to T3, then checking-in and going through security took less than 45 mins in total. The onyl downside was that I couldn't use the lounge I'd booked and the T3 one was full. All the bars/foodoutlets were absolutely rammed, so we just bought rum from duty free and cokes from WH Smith and mede our own drinks.

Coming back from Barcelona on Sunday was a different story. A one hour queue for check-in, but security was only 4 minutes. At T1 there, they've got an outside terrace where you can get food and drinks and sit in the sun.

Did I mention I'd been away? 😉
Went on the maiden Mediterrananean voyage of Virgin's valiant Lady and it was absolutely tremendous.
I've some ace deals for it too, if anyoine fancies it.

Another recommendation for Traf tours by the way.

He’s like an invisible butler.

And cheaper than a pre-noon hooker.

I fucking loved working at MAN as a fresh faced 21 year old. 3am starts, 12 hour shifts, 6 on 3 off, pax who came to my check in desk 15 mins before their flight was due to depart kicking off like it was my fault they wasn't going on their hols. Oh was spat at once. That was nice too. 

I did get discount on duty free and a sexy uniform where I wore hold ups on shift.  Swings and roundabouts.

Last time I went to our Lofts' place, EasyJet was two thirds passengers, one third hat boxes. Cheap enough to pay for a seat for hats.
