Looking at a long girls weekend witht the girls in Albufeira. Close to bars and restaurants and not a shit hole. Im 35 now the 1* holiday apartments are a thing of the past. Anyone any recommendations?

I used to travel business class in a previous life and the lounges were great because the peasants didn’t have access. Now any bugger can go in if they have 45 quid spare and are flying Ryanair. 😉

I still go in though but after spending £90 for me and my missus in January and only spending 45 minutes in there due to delays at check in, I’ll give it a miss until things improve.

Just to tie off the final part of the journey

Check in, security and passport control all done really fast and plane on time at Palma airport.

I suggest you all use @Traf tours, because he clearly has some sort of lucky charm.

 

Just got back from Majorca,Palma Airport no problems there.Mancheter T2 is another thing all together .Got off plane no problem but fuck me going through passport control is hell.Que about 1/2 mile long,2 different queues 1 for family's with young children and 1 for the rest,only 5 of them machines working took 1 1/2 to get through Finally got through to baggage only to find peoples bags all over the fucking show stacked on the floor due to people leaving their bags because it had taking so long for their bags to come through.Then came the fun of meeting our taxi car park absolutely gridlocked.This needs sorting sharpish as if it's bad now god help those going in peak season

Leeds Bradford was ace. Cases, passport control and onto the shuttle bus Al within 30 minutes.

Downside, the route back from there to Manchester is a cunt of a drive. But worth it.

Because when they refund people, they give them a discount off the next booking and people are too fucking stupid to realise they're having the piss taken from them.

not the best but you can take your money back & the £300 and go and book elsewhere no loss apart from the messing about at airport if it’s a late call, if everyone did that it would surely hit them?

loved albufeira however Portugal is generally gash for veggies which is a shame. In fact I don’t think I am in albufeira think I am nearby 🤣

One of our neighbours is a copper and been on duty at Leeds Bradford in the last week.

Jet2 apparently really good , Ryanair non existent .

There are a couple shops before passport control and one of them is selling cans of Carling for a fiver. So the Ryanair crowd are buying 4 packs for the queue. 
 

We go a week on Weds I think by then my missus will have asked 1500 times if I think the queues will be a problem, I am planning to stop say 'dunno' after she has asked me 750 times

My sister works for Jet2 and says they’re a fantastic company to work for. Look after their staff and train them well.

It’s expensive for tolls so make sure you’ve got a card handy. 
 

get a staring bank account and use that as it’s the master card exchange rate and no fees 

Just landed back in the uk. Landed 17:50 back in the house in sunny toxteth for 19:03.

passport gates let us through but then they panicked saying it hadn’t scanned. Bags through very quick.

JET2 at Leeds have staff in place so if there is a long queue they can pull through, they have introduced day before check in and baggage drop. 
The security checks are not manned by the airlines , the staff working there are not much above minimum wage for shift work that means getting there at 5 in the morning and getting shit off people. Apparently a woman who was shift leader at Leeds has packed it in and now works on of the bars on more money.

Happened to me wednesday morning they sent me a text at 2.20am telling me my holiday to Fuerteventura cancelled. Should have been flying today

To make it worse keep getting automated messages saying Jeremy hopes to meet us at the welcome meeting Sunday. Cunts never booking with them again.
