Club may be saved from admin- I suspected something would happen- but the comments about having discussed takeover with EFL means he's either wanging a shit load of cash at it, or is going to run it on a more sustainable basis.

Can't help feeling the former might not wash- the EFL will want plenty of assurances.

I’d be surprised if he’s in it for the long term, can see this buyout as gift to the town and a fans type of club coming out of it in the long run…. And of course the rugby lot getting the stadium gifted to them.

I didn't think Wigan would be liquidated for the sake of a few million while Whelan was alive but now there is a billionaire who i had never heard of to bail them out.Just got to accept they are a club like Blackburn that attract people with more money than Bolton do.
