I don't keep tabs on who posts when but to imply that people are only calling for Evatt out because we lost yesterday is a bit daft I reckon. You know for a fact that there's more to it than that

Neither do I, it's just a noticeable trend. Yes, obviously there is more to it. I just think it would be daft to pot him now and I can't see it happening.

I think it daft not to. That's a football forum in a nutshell I suppose.

some Bolton fans need to realise we are a league one team.

If we get promoted ACE, but the last time we were in the Premiership, it nearly destroyed the club as it wasn't sustainable.

He's been backed financially, and he's admitted he has gotten it wrong with the players we have, but we don't have an alternative (no plan B),

We have to face it, we have a weaker team than this time last year, and if we hit playoff's, we've done well..

Be nice to get to the championship though.

Worry about the premier league at a later date.

On paper we are stronger but in reality, far from it.

I think he goes tomorrow.

The bit being weaker and doing well to make the play offs

The first bit and the last bit.

The third bit is true.

The second bit is completely irrelevant.

We are a League one team, we've been here for 3 seasons now? 9 years since we last played in the Championship and then we were beaten week in week out..

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be up there, but now that we're in a league with teams with more financial clout than us, and more savvy set ups, we're going to struggle.

I get it. But it's League 1. Whoever our next manager is, as long as we're in this division we'll lose 4 or 5 nill occasionally.

It is absolutely not a given that, because we are in League 1, watching League 1 players, we should expect to see them get pasted three or four times a season.

The Parky team that got out of this League only lost two games by two goals all season, none by any more than two

Obviously it's not a given. But that was a long time ago. We've started from scratch since then.

You say some of our fans need to realise we are a League One team.

Everyone realises we are a League  One team.

It's why so many of us are pissed off. We fucked it up last season and there's no indication this season will be any better.

And we don't want us to be a League One team any longer.

Time's moving on from starting from scratch, we are an established L1 side with well documented aspirations to get out of the Division. Such sides don't regularly toss games 4 or 5 nil.

I would have said as long as we're chasing promotion (any division) there would be occasional great wins against fellow promotion contenders or local rivals.  But there aren't.  Plenty the other way round though, not just defeats but games we just don't lay a glove on the opponent.

And there won't be many teams that get promoted this season that have a minus goal difference after a third of the season.  The mighty Wycombe have scored 10 more than us and conceded 8 less.

^ This is the arrogance that other teams rightfully mock us for. As if we're entitled to go up, because we're Bolton Wanderers. Reality is obviously too tough for some.

We’re not entitled to go up by any means, but we certainly have justifiable aspirations to do so, and tied in with those aspirations is very much an expectation that we don’t get thumped by four or five goals on an ever more frequent basis.

Every team in the division could claim they have a "justifiable expectation" to be better than they are. Get over it. The Prem years were down to money. Nothing else.

Not many have spent c£3m on their forward line.

Considering the size of our budget relative to the rest of the league this season and last, and especially the fact we've had seven transfer windows to build a capable squad, promotion is a perfectly reasonable aspiration

Relatively speaking, under Alladyce, they weren't
