All that misinformation on Sky News about strings of sexual attacks by Afghan men across the country eh.

All that misinformation about grooming and decades of scandal and cover up by authorities.

All that misinformation about folk being stabbed in the street by asylum seekers.

It’s all bullshit from bots and influencers 🙄

Is there a reason you highlighted the sentence in yellow?

I don't actually do it.

If a copy and paste something from AI on to here, the yellow highliting just appears.

I've tried highliting the yellow bit and changing it to the default colour on here, it won't let me.

I'm not IT savvy but do try to work around things and I did so in regards to this, namely I copied and pastd and then viewed what I posted in 'review' mode, saw where the yellow highliting appear - delefted it, then copied and pasted the text again BUT minus the first and last words, viewed it in 'review mode - no yellow highlighting, the typed in the first and last words, checked again in review and all was perfect!

The thing is though that since the upgrade on here the 'review' feature seems no longer to be there?

I could work out what the highlighted, yellow text would be and probably remove it without the review though - in fact I've done so to give the AI definition of 'canon' below.

I have a similar problem when copy and pasting the 'headlines' of articles, often they display is so large and I can't seem to reduce them using Font Size on the icons at the top of the page where you compose your posts.

Quite possibly I'm doing something wrong but so far only your goodself has querried the yellow highlighting and as it seems that 99% of those who have expressed their opinions about my canon* so far (namely they don't read my posts or have put me on ignore (ignorance is bliss they say - I guess there must be many blisful people on here then!), that there's not much point me putting in an awful lot of effort to removing the unwanted highlighting.

Sorry if you find it irratating.

  • Canon - refers to the collection of writings, art, or music that is officially accepted as genuine, authoritative, and of the highest quality within a specific field or by a particular creator.

(That's what AI says anyway - I don't claim that myself)

As for the ignorance is bliss remark - I am only joking. I wouldn't want anyone to be upsetover anything I say

Chow.

So why don't all these fuckwits riot over EVERY violent crime? Why are they so selective when it comes to the nationality/race of the perpetrator?

Sometimes whilst whiling away my time I think ‘what is the meaning of life?’

Then it comes to me.

There isn’t a single agreed-upon answer to “the meaning of life.” Different traditions, philosophies, and individuals arrive at different conclusions.

Some common perspectives:

* Purpose is something you create. Existentialist thinkers such as Jean-Paul Sartre argued that life has no predetermined meaning; meaning comes from the choices you make and the values you commit to.

* Meaning comes from relationships. Many people find life’s deepest significance in love, family, friendship, and community.

* Meaning comes from growth. Some traditions see life as an opportunity to learn, develop character, cultivate wisdom, or realize one’s potential.

* Meaning comes from service. Others find purpose in helping others, contributing to society, or leaving the world better than they found it.

* Meaning is spiritual. Many religions teach that life’s meaning is connected to a relationship with the divine, enlightenment, salvation, or fulfilling a sacred purpose.

* Meaning is found in experience itself. Some philosophical and contemplative traditions suggest that being alive, experiencing consciousness, beauty, curiosity, and the present moment is meaningful in its own right.

From a scientific perspective, life doesn’t appear to come with an objectively detectable cosmic purpose. Science can describe how life exists and evolves, but it does not establish what life ought to mean.

A practical answer is that the meaning of life is often less something you discover and more something you build. Many people find meaning at the intersection of:

1. What they care about,

2. What they are good at,

3. Who they help, and

4. What gives them a sense of aliveness.

If you want a short answer: the meaning of life is the meaning you create through the way you live.

“To be is to do”—Socrates.

“Do be do be do”—Frank Sinatra.

Unsurprisingly, this place reflects the same tussle being undertaken in the country.

Those perfectly happy to change nothing (i.e. let the positively discriminating law continue to fail/turn a blind eye to monstrous crimes in the interests of 'social cohesion'; maintain the 'pull factors' to keep illegals coming; be resigned to acceptance of resulting deleterious effects on their services; happy enough for high streets up and down the country to be taken over by foreign criminals; anything to avoid being labelled 'racist') and those who see a blatantly obvious need for change.

Which one will win out?

Sweep will be along in a minute with another withering burst of "you have to pick a side, don't you?"

What's the worst thing a migrant or a Muslim has ever done to you?

Shoved a finger up my arse during sex. I think it was the shock more than anything, as I wasnt expecting her to do it, and there was absolutely no warning. She had false nails on as well, so it was quite sharp on entry.

17 year old girl stabbed in broad daylight.

I shouldn't be mad or upset because because the man didn't do it to me or my daughter and it doesn't affect me directly though.

I get mad or upset about the thought of a man stabbing me or my daughter ……..although personally those fears are not just restricted to an Afghan migrant doing it. Anyone really. And chances are it wouldn’t be an Afghan migrant. The criminal justice system just needs to get any and all scumbags off our streets.

No one can be certain of how crime rates compare because the state hasn't accurately collated the information and so the data is unreliable (it's mostly data from different agencies with different methodologies)

I think comparing crime rates of "foreigners" and the native population, such as it is, is the wrong way of looking at it anyway and looking at the breakdown by nationality would be more relevant

There is some evidence from MOJ conviction data that people arriving from countries like Afghanistan, Albania, Somalia and Iraq commit crime (particularly violent and sexual crime) at an alarmingly higher per capita rate than British people or people of other nationalities, but that data also has to be considered against the law of small numbers (there aren't very many convictions) and also controlled for age and sex i.e. if most people arriving from Afghanistan are males between the ages of 20 and 40 (and they almost certainly are) it follows that rates per capita will be higher among Afghan nationals because young males across all nationalities commit the majority of crime (I've not seen any data that actually does control for this so until there is that data it's not possible to draw a fair conclusion)

But then the counter argument is that if the people arriving are almost exclusively in that age/sex bracket then that's a big problem in itself, and also that people arriving from countries like the above are coming from some of the most violent and aggressive societies on earth and that this is also a reason why offending is so much higher

I'll stop here as I'm now boring myself, but one thing the government really needs to do is get better at recording this kind of information and investigating any anomolies

Christ is that how you've chosen to understand my posts ?

Maybe I'm not expressing myself well mate 😄

I'm not for a second suggesting that the things you speak of above are misinformation. In regards to the grooming gangs scandal, you've heard me say before we shouldn't shy away from being honest about these things and the cultural issues at play.

We've gone from an asylum system that would mostly help those in need, to a system of unvetted migrants arriving in huge numbers. Of course that is causing problems with taxpayer cost and crime. It's a fact that Afghan men are more likely to commit sexual crimes against women. The whole system needs an overhaul and we need urgent control of our borders. I'm not sure they way the world is heading that we can continue with the Refugee Convention in its current form.

My issue is with the "solutions" being spread online and carried out by vigilante mobs. Folk suggesting remigration of peaceful British citizens, thousands of comments praising the Belfast lads for torching foreigners out of their homes, folk attacking police and even rioting over things that had nothing to do with an asylum seeker.

Social media is so powerful now, it's how many people get their news. Folk have been brainwashed into believing that it's okay to burn innocent folk out their homes. We're seeing attacks on innocent people every time a foreigner attacks someone. Saying that this is an inevitable by product of political inaction excuses it in my opinion. Labour could stop the boats tomorrow and I don't think this movement would go away.

It's growing and becoming more and more violent. I see it is as a big a threat as the situation in the channel and radical Islam.

If this was true we’d be seeing a hell of a lot more Innocent people being attacked. It’s a good Job it’s not true.

Four palestine activists jailed yesterday - Samuel Corner, 23, was jailed for 8 years and 8 months. Charlotte Head, 30, and Leona Kamio, 30, each received 6 years. Fatema Zainab Rajwani, 21, was sentenced to 5 years and 8 months.

72 arrests outside the court at the sentencing.

To be honest, I thought he was taking the piss it was that obvious. That’s why I put my meaning of life post on (only 3 lines mine) and I knew about the yellow highlight on the post. 🤷‍♂️
