It's the Stuart Ross Communications Internship and is aimed at increasing the number of people from under-represented groups entering in the Public Relations, Communications and Marketing industries.

It's just one of a number of internships available at TfL and as with many similar programs across the country, each role is targeted at a certain section of society.

When I worked at a larger international agency, we had very similar internships to get people into comms, marketing and media as people from poorer backgrounds are hugely underrepresented- not because they aren't good enough, but because there is lack of knowledge about how to get into these types of jobs (or that they even exist) if you aren't going down a traditional university route.

Was great for loads of kids who have gone on to have great careers they wouldn't have had knowledge of. Basically, it was their university.

It isn’t just immigration though is it? (Over 1400 this week by the way)

They are ahead in the polls because of this Labour government and the last Tory one. 
Anyway, another U-turn on the way ( others will follow) Luckily, there are many, including Labour mp’s who know when things are wrong. 

Without the immigration problem Reform wouldn’t exist. I can easily see them winning the next general election though. Probably inevitable.
