Aren't judges given guidelines for what they can send people down for? I know Magistrates are when it comes to handed out punishments So if he got sent down for 50 years, which we all would like, he could appeal and get two years maybe Is it the Judge's fault? Quote

Nope, it'll be Starmer or Lammy's fault Anyway, part of the punishment should be chemical castration, on top of whatever custodial sentence he's given Quote

This is where the appeals needs to be looked at, you get your sentence and that’s it, if the judges are supposed to know what they’re doing then what’s the grounds for appeals? Nobody shagging an 11 year old girl should get the right to appeal in my eyes. No doubt some will say “human rights” but human rights can get to fuck in situations like this Quote

If that means someone gets accused of under age sex when they didn't, do you expect them to just shrug their shoulders, go off to prison with the nonce tag? Quote

You’ve already said judges know better than us on previous threads so why would you question them now. Which part of this trial wasn’t fair? Quote

Have i said judges know better other than knowking the law much better. What im saying is if they are found guilty judges pass down the sentence in accordance with the guidelines I've no idea whether the trial was fair or not That wasn't the point I was making Quote

Everyone does have the right to a fair trial You also have the right to appeal a trial decision You shouldn't be able to pick and choose which trials that relates to Whether that appeal is successful is another matter Quote

Voluntary though - not imposed. Presumably for a lighter sentence? Having said that - it may have just been a fever dream. Quote
