Depends what time of year your planning on going. Goa is fantastic but not till after November and not A/I, too many cafe/bars/beech shacks offering good food at very cheap prices. Goa is split in two, north and south, the north I've heard is the Blackpool of India while the south is quieter but still enough going on. The Cape Verde islands are called the new Carrabian, but you must read up on which island takes your fancy, I visited Boa Vista, great hotel good food but not much else on the island, good bonus for these islands are the flight times just over six hours.

My old dad was there, after finishing work at Walkers tannery, made the short walk to the Burnden Park. Luckilly he was early so was in the far end of the railway enbankmant. He knew there was going to be a problem when people where climbing over the perimiter fencing from the signal box on the railway line. Depends which island you choose. I think there are ten, went to Boavista a couple of years ago, great hotel with friendly staff but outside the complex nothing happening without getting a guide and vehicle for the day. Even warned about bandits hiding in the sand dunes who will rob you if you take a walk along the beech alone. Other islands are more commercial and tailor made for tourists.
