Always have been when I’ve been on them. Stoke game there were some really clapped out ones (ours included) and some folk just decided to jump on nicer looking ones hence the chaos and delays in setting off

I did wonder that...tell people what coach number they're on, and then they just go to that coach, and then it sets off either when it's full, or at 04:30 (fuck waiting for stragglers) 

I can see it being absolute chaos, with circa 1500 people (and at least half of them will be utter simpletons as well) aimlessly jumping on coaches, and then jumping off them again when they realise their mongy mates are on a different coach. Then running back to the original coach, when they realise they've left their corned beef butties in the overhead rack.

It should be so simple, and run really easily, you just know it won't though 🙂

Previous issues with allocated coaches have been when there's 48 people on it 10 minutes before departure, and half an hour later they're still waiting for person 49.

Fill them up as they go and then whoever turns up first gets there first. If you're going in a group then only get on the coach once your group arrives.

They will essentially be filling them up at the same time, but it'll presumably only be a handful of coaches at a time to make sure ones aren't leaving half empty which again has happened previously. That happened going to Cardiff v Preston and meant we had two seats each which I definitely wasn't complaining about!

(For what it's worth the days of me sitting on a coach to London are long gone if I can avoid it by either going on the train or staying over; the latter in this case)

We got a coach from Market in Farnworth £55 includes breakfast and 2 bottles of beer, plus beer sales on way down, bargain I'd say
