We didn't sell out for the Stoke* FA Cup semi-final. How we think we will this time I've no idea.

*apologies to those still in therapy.

Apologies if I’ve missed something, but who is claiming that we did?

No-one. Buf people seem to think we're likely to sell out at the Pizza cup. I'm illustrating that for a far more prestigious competition, with a far better team, with less tickets available we still didn't achieve that.

Not sure if I'm going yet. Wife and kids want to go but some times we have to learn to say no to stuff :(

Sorry buddy but…

fuck off.

Wife wants to go? Kids want to go? You’re fucking going pal.

Imagine we’re successful and an absolute great game. They’ll never forgive you if you aren’t there.

Take these chances when they come, you can't say no when you're dead.

Anyway if it works out too dear just say they can't go and go yourself.

Must admit the cost of taking 3x hangers on for the papa John's is making me think I won't tell em if we get to a play off final! 🤣

If it makes you feel any better I'm not going

Mrs is due to drop child number two anytime around then so not happening

I could've forced the issue but I'm hedging my bets on going again in may

Exactly the reason I didn’t go to the play-off v Reading. We’d been to Wembley earlier that year v Liverpool.

@Spartan White went to the 1989 Torquay game 1 day after his good lady gave birth to their 1st daughter, proper lad.......

I would love it, love it, if I was sat at Wembley winning 4-0 and there was an announcement on the tannoy telling me my Mrs had gone in to labour

That's my thought, can't justify 2 x Wembley trips and I can't see us getting automatic promotion.

I've not been to any of the pspa John's matches so far.

The way I'm looking at it...

This one is happening.

People holding out for play off finals are the ones that didn't go seeing us get dry bummed by Stoke hoping we got to the final.

This. Although the latter made me a fucking genius in my book.

You need to call your child Papa John 100%

And the prices jump a fair bit for the play off final

It was that particular thought that was dangling the hospitality option for this one as I bet it’ll be double the price for the play offs (and relatively few middle tier tickets) but there’s no guarantees we’ll be back

Do you mean public adress system? Tannoy is a brand name.

It doesn’t matter though. Many everyday objects are similarly mis-named;

Hoover, Portacabin, JCB, etc.

That was a major dropped bollock. I ain’t going papa John’s, it first final I’ve missed in my life time but logistics from Spain are just to complicated & expensive, and tbh not that bothered anyhow, I’ll be there if we get to the play offs, no ifs buts or maybes.

I had tickets for Everton away 2004 when my lad was born on same day at 10-30, told my mates to pick me up 1pm at Chorley hospital, when they duly arrived, decided reluctantly not to go… was a close call though 🤣think being up since 2am when wife’s waters broke swung it. Best sleep ever that afternoon.. and we lost 3-2.

strange how we went from opening day free for all on bottom tiers to a regimented take up of top block

Getting transport is proving to be a nightmare and probably keep down numbers, but we’ll see Thursday when go on general sale

It annoys me. Like people who say Frankenstein, when they mean Frankensteins monster.
