The club did say yesterday that the queue would open at 9.20. But actually the way things panned out, if you joined the website earlier than 9.20 you would've been sat there refreshing for ages until you opened it in a new browser or deleted your cookies. If you joined at 9.20 or later when the queue was open, you went straight into it. So joining early was a major disadvantage for some people.

in that case it's all fair enough then in that context

i did try on some browsers before it was open, so was pure luck that I got in the queue

I'm not going, was trying along with mates (who have done plenty aways) in a concerted effort to get them all tickets, they didn't get in the queue in time, I did, so got them their tickets in my network

and I guess that's the case for everyone, pure luck

so they really do need that points system in place if it's to be deemed anything remotely close to being fair in terms of distribution to fans

I still dont get how the link for tickets just didnt appear though?

Nothing to do with the queues or whatever it just didnt appear.

Basically your computer stores a version of the website so when you revisit a site it just takes the saved version from your cache. Even when you refresh. When changes are made to the site they are updated on the companies server and your search engine won't always picked these up immediately so there can be 2 reasons

1 a saved version of your PC /laptop/phone which is why you need to clear your cache

2 your search engine not picking up the revised site.

When I used to run an online insurance business changes could take ages to appear.

That is quite a basic explanation sure technically not perfect

Cheers for the explanation.

I’m really pissed of (with myself) that I didn’t know this beforehand.

Everyday is a school day.

And here’s me, creating an hour plus on a work day, on line at 8.50 with 2 devices refreshing thinking I had the best chance possible.

Asked if I was a home or away supporter; told him the truth and waiting for the obvious reply

Can you let us know. Can get tickets from residents in Barnsley but think a night out in the boozer might be better.

Disappointment of yesterday now put to bed. A raft of beers and a curry  helped. 😊

Good chat with the steward at Heaton CC - big screen going up and a BWFC Heaton takeover - should be a good night -  @DazBob and any other Heaton whites

A nice big home win should set the 2nd leg up nicely - COYFWM

Aye. Need to draw a line under it, same here. Otherwise next week would be stressful. COYFWM

Does anybody know if it’s the same officials because they were shit yesterday

Agreed on this. When the keeper threw himself over Sheehan and ‘won’ a free kick I knew we were in trouble. As mentioned earlier to come out unscathed on that we’ve done ok.

Not sure how the second leg going to go, will Duffs pragmatic style of football win the day or can Evatts expansive passing style triumph, one thing for sure it won’t be for the feint hearted, my best guess I’m thinking it might pan out like Sheff Wednesday away game and if we can ride out the first half hour then we might come into the game as it progresses, Im hoping Evatt might shore up midfield with MJ, I’d also like to see Lee employed from the start his calm and experience might help us ride out that predicted early storm, up top we’ve got to get more physicality alongside Charles so Victor or Ndulu to start.  It’s on a knife edge let’s hope our style wins the day.

MJ doesn’t shore up the midfield, he’s too slow and becomes a liability - I know he’s bigger than the other 3 but he’s far more of a risk, I’d rather put Thomason there and that says something. Lee’s a funny one, I’m a huge fan of his and when he’s on his game he’s a class above, but we haven’t seen it for a while and I’m not sure I’d be wanting to drop Dempsey back to let Lee play as the furthest advanced midfielder. Same midfield for me, albeit that’s based on how they can play, not how they did play on Saturday.

Agree with the change up top though - I’d like to see Vic given a go and see if he can finally show us what he can do when it really counts. JDB and Charles would be the real winner but you can’t just throw him into this game after all that time out.

2 changes for me - John for Williams and Vic for Kachunga.

All opinions but Thomason for Sheehan would be my only change.

I see there being a bit more space between their defence and Midfield on Friday which Kachunga can utilise. I'd possibly play Shoretire though instead.

Glad it's Evatt who has to make the choice
