They will probably end up on there if they don’t improve on the dross they delivered last season. IE knows there are issues with Vic, Dan and Cameron and hopefully they start to click by the time Lincoln turn up

Could do with em in town if lincoln turn up ;)

This thread is called 'Pre-Season' and yet people seem surprised that there are posts talking about... pre-season. Start a thread called 'Let's wait 10 games' and discuss in there how nobody should judge anything until October.

I haven't seen us play either game, so I have no real opinion. But would it be noteworthy had we pumped Chester 6-0 with hat-tricks from Dan and Vic? Yes. So if they still look as toothless as they did last season it's at least worthy of comment (in a thread about pre-season).

You're right about opinions.

Experience of previous pre seasons should illustrate that judging too much on them is unjustified. Can't remember having one all plain sailing, though back in the prem days, I'm sure we did "well" in them one year, and got relegated.

We're also fishing in a fairly small pond for players too- to get promoted, we may have to spend a bit, but other clubs will also be looking at them. Time will tell, but I'm sure that the management team and the board won't rest on their laurels and allow the club to drift

We never dropped points during pre-season.

Think everything you say is correct and although other teams are hammering the likes of Bamber Bridge and we could only score one doesn’t mean anything when the league games commence. The concerns that most have however is that  most of these strikers don’t seem to be improving and unless we get quality recruitment (as IE has said we are going to bring in) then comments that we could end up mid table are a real possibility.

Don’t think anyone is panicking though and we have to trust the management that have done exceptional so far

Reasonable, but I'd also add that we need to wait until the season is underway before we see how well the goalscoring is going.

Jerome remains an odd one because of his age, and questions still over Dan, but I'm not concerned about pre season games.

Crap defending then 🫢

No goals in our forwards🤔

Well that’s a good thing. Let’s hope it continues

was at the Training ground

They can all Score at the Training ground for Fun

its on a Real Pitich it matters

I'm very much in the camp of not caring when we have a bad result against non league opposition, we could win 6-0 against Bradford or 3-0 v Everton and it means nothing.  The only stat I want to see is a zero in the injuries column.

Last year we won 2-0 at Watford then lost 3-1 at Carlisle (with a full strength side).  No bearing whatsoever on getting a point at Ipswich and beating Wycombe a couple of weeks later in games that matter.

Stevie B reckons this is fake news.

Erm I’m confused……..

I thought these games were totally and utterly meaningless & we wanted our forwards to keep missing.

I want witnesses.

This has Putins propaganda machine written all over it.

Good workout by the looks of it. Gradually building sharpness.

Keep off the toughsheet pitch for as long as possible whilst it settles.

Bradford playing it down game was 2 a piece then they made a raft of changes and a change to formation

Meanwhile all our strikers scored.

As they're often viewed as not so good, then Bradford's replacements and formation must have been a bit naff.

Fuckin boooo

The report says it should have been six but we had one disallowed incorrectly for offside. I suspect its a false flag operation.
